Animals have evolved a large number of olfactory receptor genes in their genome to detect numerous odorants surrounding environments. However, we still know little about whether males and females possess the same abilities sense odorants, especially fish. In this study, used deep RNA sequencing examine difference transcriptome between male female zebrafish epithelia. We found that transcriptomes are highly similar. also evidence some showing differential expression or alternative splicing,...

In this study, the complete mitochondrial genome of Lepidocephalichthys berdmorei was first determined by primer walking sequence method. The 16,574 bp in length, including 13 protein-coding genes (PCGs), 22 transfer RNA (tRNA) genes, two ribosomal (rRNA) and a control region (D-loop). gene arrangement pattern identical to that other teleosts. overall base composition 29.9% A, 28.5% T, 25.5% C, 16.1% G, with an A+T bias 58.4%. Furthermore, phylogenetic analyses were conducted based on PCGs...
