Human papillomaviruses (HPV) are associated with a subset of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC), particularly HPV16. This study analyzed the presence genotype high risk HPVs, viral DNA load transcription E6/E7 mRNAs, in 231 consecutive HNSCC. Twelve out 30 HPV16 DNA-positive tumors displayed mRNAs levels were localized oropharyngeal region. While HPV-free non-transcriptionally active HPV-related patients showed similar 5-years survival rates, expression was better prognosis....

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) act at the posttranscriptional level to control gene expression in virtually every biological process, including oncogenesis. Here, we report identification of a set miRNAs that are differentially regulated childhood adrenocortical tumors (ACT), miR-99a and miR-100. Functional analysis these ACT cell lines showed they coordinately regulate insulin-like growth factor-mammalian target rapamycin (mTOR)-raptor signaling pathway through binding sites their 3'-untranslated...

Abstract HER2-positive breast cancer has long proven to be a clinically distinct class of cancers for which several targeted therapies are now available. However, resistance the treatment associated with specific gene expressions or mutations been observed, revealing underlying diversity these cancers. Therefore, understanding full extent disease heterogeneity still remains challenging. Here we carry out an in-depth genomic characterization 64 tumour genomes that exhibit four subgroups,...

Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) is associated with poor survival. To identify prognostic diagnostic markers therapeutic targets, we studied ANO1, a recently identified calcium-activated chloride channel (CaCC). High-resolution genomic transcriptomic microarray analysis functional studies using HNSCC line CaCC inhibitors. Amplification overexpression of genes within the 11q13 amplicon are propensity for future distance metastasis HPV-negative HNSCC. ANO1 was selected based on...

Abstract Claudin-low breast cancers are aggressive tumors defined by the low expression of key components cellular junctions, associated with mesenchymal and stemness features. Although they generally considered as most primitive malignancies, their histogenesis remains elusive. Here we show that this molecular subtype exhibits a significant diversity, comprising three main subgroups emerge from unique evolutionary processes. Genetic, gene methylation analyses reveal two relate,...

Abstract PD-1/PD-L1 blockade has so far shown limited survival benefit for high-grade ovarian carcinomas. By using paired samples from the NeoPembrOv randomized phase II trial (NCT03275506), which primary outcomes are published, and by combining RNA-seq multiplexed immunofluorescence staining, we explore impact of NeoAdjuvant ChemoTherapy (NACT) ± Pembrolizumab (P) on tumor environment, identify parameters that correlated with response to immunotherapy as a pre-planned exploratory analysis....
