Abstract Aqueous organic redox flow batteries (AORFBs) are regarded as a promising candidate for grid‐scale, low‐cost and sustainable energy storage. However, their performance is restricted by low aqueous solubility the narrow potential gap of redox‐active species. Herein, highly‐soluble pair based on pyrrolidinium cation functionalized TEMPO extended viologen, namely Pyr‐TEMPO [PyrPV]Cl 4 , which exhibits high cell voltage (1.57 V) long cycling life (over 1000 cycles) in AORFBs reported....

A rapid mechanoelectrical transduction (MET) response in vestibular hair cells crucial detecting position motion. Here, we identify G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) LPHN2/ADGRL2, expressed on apical membrane utricular cells, as maintaining normal balance. Loss LPHN2 specifically impaired both balance behavior MET mice. Functional analyses using hair-cell-specific...

Aqueous organic redox flow batteries (AORFBs) are regarded as a promising solution for grid-scale and sustainable energy storage, but some long-standing problems such low density cycling stability should be resolved. Herein, highly soluble bipyridine modified with bridging phenylene group two quaternary ammonium terminals, namely, [(NPr)2PV]·4Cl, was synthesized used an ultralow-potential two-electron storage anolyte AORFBs. The group, which is linked not coplanar the pyridinium centers, can...

It is widely acknowledged that casein an important allergenic protein in milk which may cause danger to customers. The identification and confirmation of caseins through mass spectrometry requires the selection suitable characteristic peptides. In this study, by means matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization time-of-flight (MALDI-TOF MS), three most representative specific peptides cow were screened out with mass-to-charge ratios (m/z) 830, 1195, 1759, respectively. By comparing...

Freshwater ecosystems are among the most threatened on Earth. The freshwater biodiversity crisis has caused widespread global concern. Drought as one of factors causing is still poorly understood. Crayfish often used in academic research a biological indicator. In this study, flow cytometry, hematoxylin-eosin staining, and untargeted metabolomics were to analyze immune function, histopathology, metabolism crayfish under drought conditions. After exposure, total hemocytes count (THC) was...
