We report an analysis of the operation a new type laser resonator with two-dimensional distributed feedback from photonic crystal. The gain medium consists 2-(4-biphenylyl)-5(4-tert-butylphenyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole host doped Coumarin 490 and DCM is deposited on lithographically patterned Si/SiO2 structures. Bragg reflections caused by grating diminish group velocity photons along some directions crystallographic symmetry to zero, resulting gives rise oscillations. Dispersion relations for were...

Electrical impedance measurements on poly-p-phenylene-vinylene (PPV) light-emitting diodes in the frequency range between 100 Hz and 10 MHz are reported. A significant difference can be revealed device characteristics of eliminated indium-tin-oxide (ITO) those other high-work-function metals (e.g., Au). Thermal conversion precursor polymer ITO substrates results a p-type doping conjugated PPV. Hence, devices configuration ITO/PPV/Al display Schottky behavior, which modeled by simple...

Detailed investigations of the device characteristics poly-p-phenylene-vinylene (PPV) light-emitting diodes are reported. We analyze influence various hole- and electron-injecting electrodes on current–voltage (I–V) electroluminescence behavior. Our studies reveal that thermal conversion prepolymer indium–tin–oxide (ITO) substrates leads—in contrast to Au other high-work-function metals—to a p-type doping PPV and, additionally, formation an ohmic hole-injecting contact at ITO/PPV interface....
