A series of new experiments on patterned precipitation are presented which clearly show the symmetry breaking aspects these systems. In one configuration a system consisting lead iodide, water, and agar is shown to display instability in from supersaturated gel solution prepared by supercooling. another maintained out equilibrium for long times feeding layer opposite sides with nitrate potassium iodide (or similar pairs precipitating reactants). this latter experiment plane reaction form...
Two series of tricarbonylrhenium( i ) complexes were thoroughly compared. One 1,2,3-triazole-based complex displayed astounding photoluminescence properties, while one triazolylidene-based showed promising antibacterial activity.
We have investigated the suitability of using 1D spin crossover coordination polymer [Fe(4-(2'-hydroxyethyl)-1,2,4-triazole)3]I2∙H2O, known to around room temperature, as a pressure sensor via optical detection various contact pressures up 250 MPa. A dramatic persistent colour change is observed. The experimental data, obtained by calorimetric and Mössbauer measurements, been used for theoretical analysis, in framework Ising-like model, thermal induced state switching. (P)-temperature (T)...
A concept to tailor catalytic nucleic acid structures is introduced. The method involves the covalent conjugation of catalytically active metal ion complexes sequence-specific ligand-binding acids (aptamers) yielding hybrids termed "nucleoapzymes" that act as enzyme-mimicking based structures. concentration substrate by aptamer binding site, in close proximity complex models site native enzymes and yields systems. possibility tether sites 3′- or 5′-ends aptamer, internal bases associated...
Water is crucial in exerting a confinement pressure or matrix effect on the spin transition of SCO material MCM-41.
Three new pyridyltriazole ligands (named pyta) bearing a 4-substituted phenyl arm (nitro- (2a), chloro- (2b) or aminophenyl (2c) moiety) have been synthesized using convenient click chemistry strategy. The corresponding tricarbonylrhenium complexes 3a, 3b and 3c were prepared fully characterized by means of NMR, IR mass spectrometry, as well X-ray crystallography for two them (3a 3b). direct connection at the N1 position triazolyl ring has significant influence on geometry both, their...
Abstract This work reports the catalytic activity of a large variety oxo‐rhenium(V) complexes (1 mol‐%) containing ligands 2‐(2‐hydroxy‐5‐methylphenyl)benzotriazole (Hhmpbta), 2‐(2‐hydroxyphenyl)benzothiazole (Hhpbt), 2‐(2‐hydroxyphenyl)benzoxazole (Hhpbo), and 2‐(2‐hydroxyphenyl)‐1 H ‐benzimidazole (Hhpbi) in deoxygenation sulfoxides with silanes or boranes as reducing agents. In general, all are excellent catalysts, although PhSiH 3 /[ReOBr 2 (hmpbta)(PPh )] pinacolborane/[ReOBr systems...
Dinuclear Re(I) complexes have proportionally been much less studied than mononuclear analogues. In particular, very little information is available about their solid-state emission properties. this work, two structural isomers of dinuclear (Bi-Re-metaPhe and Bi-Re-paraPhe), which differ by the relative position coordination spheres on a central phenyl ring, were synthesized compared with each other parent compound (Mono-Re-Phe), from theoretical experimental point view. solution,...
Four mononuclear complexes (H3O){[NiL3](ClO4)3} (1), [CoL3](ClO4)2·2H2O (2), [CdL2Cl2] (3) and [CuL3](NO3)2 (4) have been prepared employing a newly synthesized 1,2,4-triazole ligand: 3-(3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)-1H-1,2,4-triazole (L). The structures of the complexes, which crystallized in P63/m P-1 P1 (3), P21/c (4), are reviewed within context cooperative effect hydrogen bonding network counter anions on supramolecular formations. Moreover, framework biological activity examination,...
The self-assembly of Zn(II), Cd(II), or Hg(II) salts with long flexible 1,2,4-triazole-based ligands resulted in coordination polymers and mononuclear complexes diverse topology. Indeed, the 1D chain [ZnCl2(btpm)] (1) (P1̅), 2D square grid [Zn(btpm)2(H2O)](BF4)2·2btpm·8H2O (2) (P21212), [Cd3Cl6(btpm)2]·8H2O (3) (P1̅) btpm = bis(4-(1,2,4-triazol-4-yl)phenyl)methane were crystallized. In addition, [ZnCl2(ppt)2] (4) (I2) [HgBr2(ppt)2] (5) (C2) obtained along polymer [Cd2Cl2(ppt)4](CdCl4)·4DMF...
