Abstract Background Intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMN) often coexist with acute or chronic pancreatitis, which can complicate laparoscopic spleen-preserving distal pancreatectomy (LSPDP), especially splenic vessel preservation (SVP-LSPDP). This study aims to evaluate the safety, feasibility, and long-term outcomes of SVP-LSPDP for IPMN. Methods A retrospective was conducted on IPMN patients who underwent between November 2017 December 2022. Demographics, surgical outcomes,...

Abstract A simple protocol for the synthesis of 2‐(trifluoromethyl)aniline derivatives through a coordinating activation strategy was developed. The reaction showed good reactivity and gave target products in moderate to yields. Pleasingly, directing group could be recovered excellent yield. Furthermore, this allowed efficient access floctafenine. single‐electron‐transfer mechanism proposed responsible trifluoromethylation reaction.

Abstract A practical method has been developed for the C ‐sulfinylation of enamides and enecarbamates using sodium phenylsulfinate/methyltrichlorosilane (PhSO 2 Na/MeSiCl 3 ) as sulfinylating reagent N , ‐dimethylacetamide (DMAc) Lewis base promoter, which allows preparation a variety ‐protected‐β‐sulfinylenamines in high yields good stereoselectivities. The is found to be important both situ generation active species (PhSOCl) sulfinylation step.

Abstract The first palladium‐catalyzed direct benzylic C( sp 3 )−H chalcogenation with diaryl disulfides and diphenyl diselenide has been established. coupling reaction proceeds between the thioether radical palladiumcycle intermediate. Picolinamide serves as an excellent directing group for C−H activation of can be easily removed. current protocol exhibits a relatively broad substrate scope high functional compatibility. A mechanistic study indicates that palladium(IV) intermediate is...

Catalytic production of structured phospholipids (SPLs) containing short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) in an efficient heterogeneous manner is great importance from the standpoint food engineering. Herein, a bifunctionalized sulfonated Zn-SBA-15 catalyst was studied for SPL synthesis through interesterification soybean lecithin with ethyl propionate or methyl butyrate. Various characterization techniques such as pyridine Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron and...

Abstract Pulmonary embolism (PE) is the third leading cause of cardiovascular death in United States. Black Americans have higher incidence, greater clot severity, and worse outcomes than White Americans. This disparity not fully understood, especially context advent PE response teams (PERT), which aim to standardize PE‐related care. retrospective single‐center cohort study compared 294 131 patients from our institution's PERT database. Primary objectives included severity in‐hospital...

Abstract Intra-abdominal adhesions have consistently posed a challenge for surgeons during procedures. This study aims to investigate the feasibility of utilizing indocyanine green (ICG) in conjunction with near-infrared imaging detection intra-abdominal adhesions. In vitro, we analyzed factors affecting ICG fluorescence. We divided SD rats into groups excretion different digestive tract regions. Additionally, reviewed surgical videos from previous cholecystectomy cases, categorizing them by...

Succinate dehydrogenase subunit B (SDHB)-mutated paragangliomas (PGLs) are rare neuroendocrine tumors characterized by increased malignancy, readily metastasizing, and poorer prognosis. Here we report a case of SDHB-mutated metastatic PGL, wherein the patient showed significant tumor shrinkage complete symptom remission following chemotherapy. We aim to contribute additional evidence existing knowledge associated with PGLs.

Abstract Intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMN) is one of the known precancerous lesions. Patients’ prognosis aggravated as IPMN transforms into invasive Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma (PDAC). The molecular mechanisms underlying this progression lack effective experimental models and urgently need to be elaborated. We performed spatial transcriptomics (ST) on fresh tissue samples from same patient including normal pancreas, high-grade IPMN, PDAC, described step-by-step development...
