Sr2IrO4 was predicted to be a high temperature superconductor upon electron doping since it highly resembles the cuprates in crystal structure, electronic structure and magnetic coupling constants. Here we report scanning tunneling microscopy/spectroscopy (STM/STS) study of with surface by depositing potassium (K) atoms. At 0.5-0.7 monolayer (ML) K coverage, observed sharp, V-shaped gap about 95% loss density state (DOS) at EFand visible coherence peaks. The magnitude is 25-30 meV for...

The superconductivity discovered in iron pnictides is intimately related to a nematic ground state, where the ${C}_{4}$ rotational symmetry broken via structural and magnetic transitions. We here study nematicity NaFeAs with polarization-dependent angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy. A uniaxial pressure was applied on sample overcome twinning effect low temperature ${C}_{2}$-symmetric state obtain much simpler electronic structure than that of twinned sample. found undergoes an...

Single-layer FeSe films with extremely expanded in-plane lattice constant of 3.99A are fabricated by epitaxially growing FeSe/Nb:SrTiO3/KTaO3 heterostructures, and studied in situ angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy. Two elliptical electron pockets at the Brillion zone corner resolved negligible hybridization between them, indicating symmetry low energy electronic structure remains intact as a free-standing single-layer FeSe, although it is on substrate. The superconducting gap closes...

The diversities in crystal structures and ways of doping result extremely diversified phase diagrams for iron-based superconductors. With angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy, we have systematically studied the effects chemical substitution on electronic structure various series Beyond Fermi-surface alteration that has been reported most often past, found two more extraordinary doping: (1) site band dependencies quasiparticle scattering and, importantly, (2) ubiquitous significant...

Diiron dithiolate complexes have received special attention because of their structural similarity to the active site [FeFe]-hydrogenases, which are most efficient and fastest catalysts for generation dihydrogen in nature. Recently, we established a novel way prepare phosphine-substituted diiron aza- oxadithiolate complexes. Reaction Fe2(μ-SCH2OH)2(CO)6 several phosphine ligands L (L = PPh3, PPh2(2-C5H4N), P(C6H4-4-CH3)3) affords intermediate Fe2(μ-SCH2OH)2(CO)5L, while situ reacts with...

Increasing evidence indicates that the decreased expression of microRNA-133a (miR-133a) may be correlated with poor survival for cancer patients. Thus, we performed this meta-analysis to evaluate prognostic value miR-133a in solid cancers.Eligible studies were gathered by searching on PubMed, Web Science, and Embase. Using STATA 12.0 software, pooled hazard ratios (HRs) their corresponding 95% confidence intervals (CIs) total subgroup analyses calculated investigate possible correlation...

A practical chemoenzymatic method for the asymmetric total synthesis of d-biotin (1) starting from commercially available cis-1,3-dibenzyl-2-imidazolidone-4,5-dicarboxylic acid (2) has been developed. The key step is highly enantioselective hydrolysis meso-dicarboxylic esters by a polymer-supported pig liver esterase and introduction formyl group at C-4 position in 4 via Grignard reaction. PLE can be recovered quantitatively reaction mixture simple filtration reused without significant loss activity.
