We created a registry for pediatric adrenocortical tumors (ACTs), which are rare and not well characterized. provide descriptive analysis of 254 patients registered on the International Pediatric Adrenocortical Tumor Registry.Between January 1990 December 2001, younger than 20 years age with newly diagnosed or previously treated ACTs were registered. A histologic diagnosis ACT was required, although central review mandatory. Follow-up information periodically requested from referring...

Paediatric adrenocortical carcinoma is a rare malignancy with poor prognosis. Here we analyse 37 tumours (ACTs) by whole-genome, whole-exome and/or transcriptome sequencing. Most cases (91%) show loss of heterozygosity (LOH) chromosome 11p, uniform selection against the maternal chromosome. IGF2 on 11p overexpressed in 100% tumours. TP53 mutations and 17 LOH wild-type are observed 28 ACTs (76%). Chromosomes undergo copy-neutral early during tumorigenesis, suggesting tumour-driver events....

Abstract Low-carbon hydrogen could be an important component of a net-zero carbon economy, helping to mitigate emissions in number hard-to-abate sectors. The United States recently introduced escalating production tax credit (PTC) incentivize meeting increasingly stringent embodied thresholds. Hydrogen produced via electrolysis can qualify for the full subsidy under current federal accounting standards if input electricity is generated by carbon-free resources, but may fail do so emitting...

The Inflation Reduction Act subsidizes the deployment of clean electricity, hydrogen production, and carbon capture storage, which could enable additional actions by other federal, state, local policymakers to reduce emissions. Power plant rules finalized Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in 2024 are one such example complementary policies. establish emissions intensity standards, not technology mandates, meaning power owners can choose from a range technologies control options provided...

In deeply decarbonized electricity systems with significant shares of variable renewable energy, the additional availability at least one firm generating technology can overcome reliability challenges and substantially reduce costs. Firm resources operate any time year for as long needed to maintain system reliability. Low- zero-carbon technologies include flexible high low capital costs, such biogas or hydrogen combustion, capital-intensive zero cost, including nuclear geothermal, well...

The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) in the United States provides unprecedented incentives for deploying low-carbon hydrogen and liquid fuels, among other low-greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions technologies. To better understand prospective competitiveness of or negative-carbon fuels under IRA early 2030s, we examined impacts provisions on costs producing synthetic fuel made from natural gas, electricity, short-cycle biomass (agricultural residues), corn-derived ethanol. We determined that, with...

PURPOSE Between May 1980 and September 1990, 85 patients with Hodgkin's disease were treated a regimen designed to increase cure rates while reducing late toxicity. PATIENTS AND METHODS Therapy consisted of five cycles cyclophosphamide, Oncovin (vincristine; Eli Lilly Co, Indianapolis, IN), procarbazine (COP), alternated four doxorubicin, bleomycin, vinblastine, dacarbazine (ABVD) low-dose (20 Gy) regional radiotherapy. Vincristine cyclophosphamide administered as tolerated during...

Under increasing penetration of distributed resources, regulators and electricity distribution utilities face greater uncertainty regarding the evolution network uses efficient system costs. This can threaten revenue adequacy challenges both cost service/rate return incentive/performance-based approaches to remuneration utilities. To address these challenges, this paper proposes a novel methodology establish allowed utility revenues over multi-year regulatory period. method combines several...
