Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are critical in the regulation of various biological processes. In recent years, plethora lncRNAs have been identified mammalian genomes through different approaches, and researchers constantly reporting regulatory roles these lncRNAs, which leads to complexity literature about particular lncRNAs. Therefore, for convenience researchers, we collected relationships built a database called 'LncReg'. This is developed by collecting 1081 validated lncRNA-associated...

The genetic underpinnings of recessively inherited moderate to severe sensorineural hearing loss are not well understood, despite its higher prevalence in comparison profound deafness. We recruited 92 consanguineous families segregating stable or progressive, loss. utilized homozygosity mapping, Sanger sequencing, targeted capture known deafness genes with massively parallel sequencing and whole exome identify the molecular basis these families. Variants were found 69% participating SLC26A4,...

To achieve replicative immortality, cancer cells must activate telomere maintenance mechanisms. In 10 to 15% of cancers, this is enabled by recombination-based alternative lengthening telomeres pathways (ALT). ALT display several hallmarks including heterogeneous length, extrachromosomal telomeric repeats, and ALT-associated PML bodies. also have high replication stress (RS) enhanced fork-stalling structures (R-loops G4s) altered chromatin states. cells, RS promotes elongation but above a...

Abstract Background Cardiovascular diseases, especially coronary heart disease (CHD), are currently the leading cause of mortality and morbidity. Environmental genetic factors contribute to pathophysiology CHD. In this study, we investigated associations miRNA genes MIR222 , MIR423 MIR4274, MIR3117 with pathogenesis Methods Genetic inheritance models were applied explore association between these Tetra-Primer Amplification Refractory Mutation System-Polymerase Chain Reaction (T-ARMS-PCR) was...

This study explores the relationship between work rewards and job satisfaction with moderating effect of age differences. It is an empirical a sample 84 full time employees FESCO (Faisalabad Electric Supply Company, Pakistan) was taken. The results this reveal that are proved to be strong determinant satisfaction. Job more related extrinsic for than intrinsic rewards. differences have on as it increases rise in age.   Key words: Job satisfaction, value, differences, Pakistan.

Abstract Background There are likely to be hundreds of monogenic forms human male infertility. Whole genome sequencing (WGS) is the most efficient way make progress in mapping causative genetic variants, and ultimately improve clinical management disease each patient. Recruitment consanguineous families an effective approach ascertain many diseases. Objectives To apply WGS large with hereditary infertility identify potential cases. Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) possess the potential for therapeutic targeting to treat many disorders, including cancers. Several RNA-based therapeutics (ASOs and small interfering RNAs) have gained FDA approval over past decade. And with their potent effects, lncRNA-based are of emerging significance. One important lncRNA target is LINC-PINT, its universalized functions relationship famous tumor suppressor gene TP53. Establishing clinical relevance, much like p53, activity LINC-PINT...

Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) undergo extensive alternative splicing, but little is known about isoform functions. A prior investigation of lncRNA RP11-369C8.1 reported that its splice variant TRMP suppressed p27 translation through PTBP1. Here we characterize a second major variant, TRMP-S (short variant), whose enforced loss promotes cancer cell-cycle arrest and p27-dependent entry into cellular senescence. Remarkably, despite sharing single common exon with TRMP, restrains expression...
