A dinuclear complex, [(CoTPA)2(DHBQ)](PF6)3, has been successfully synthesized that exhibits a valence tautomeric transition with distinct hysteresis effect (13 K) around room temperature and photoinduced tautomerism under low temperature.
Abstract We fabricated a periodic SiC nanovoid array embedded in the flexible polymer, which is applicable as sticker to stick any clean surfaces control light. Starting from epitaxial 3C-SiC thin films on Si substrates, was by combining nanoimprint lithography and dry etching. After coating with polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) film, substrate backside etched away obtain free-standing PDMS film. The optical measurements show that resultant supports wave-guiding modes layer about 650 nm thick....
ABSTRACT Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) was isolated from a wild-caught Tsushima cat ( Felis bengalensis euptilura ), an endangered Japanese nondomestic subspecies of leopard F. ). Phylogenetic analysis the env gene sequences indicated that FIV belonged to cluster subtype D FIVs domestic cats. both and showed similar levels replication cytopathicity in lymphoid cell lines derived these two species. The results occurrence interspecies transmission wild.
The removal of particulate contaminants adhering to a surface has been investigated using dry ice blasting system. Monosized spherical latex particles micron and submicron sizes were used as contaminants, while the jet was produced by thermal expansion liquid carbon dioxide (CO2). Removal observed in situ high-speed microscope camera quantified through digital image analysis. experimental results showed that performs well for cleaning, which is attributed collision with contaminants. For...
Establishing a nanobiohybrid device largely relies on the availability of various bioconjugation procedures which allow coupling biomolecules and inorganic materials. Especially, site-specific protein to nanomaterials is highly useful significant, since it can avoid adversely affecting protein's function. In this study, we demonstrated covalent interest end carbon nanotubes without A modified Staudinger-Bertozzi ligation was utilized couple nanotube with an azide group site-specifically...
Escherichia albertii is an emerging foodborne pathogen. The source of the E. infection in most outbreaks unknown because difficult to isolate from suspected food or water. has a broad host range among birds and can be isolated chicken meat. In this study, PCR assay, enrichment, isolation conditions for detecting meat were evaluated. growth 47 strains Japan between 1994 2018 type strain was evaluated modified EC broth (mEC) mEC supplemented with novobiocin (NmEC) on media containing...
Time-dependent dielectric breakdown (TDDB) in Cu metallization and the dependence on presence of barrier metal, metal thickness, kind metals low-k dielectrics, is investigated. There a distinct difference TDDB degradation mechanism with without metals. interconnects caused by bulk mode CMP-surface mode, respectively. The characteristics are almost same for different thicknesses depends much more strongly electric field strength than MIS structure. Additionally, both degradations, related to...
Biological applications of carbon nanotubes have been hampered by the inability to visualize them using conventional optical microscope, which is most common tool for observation and measurement biological processes. Recently, a number fluorescence labeling methods biomolecules various probes developed widely utilized in fields. Therefore, with such fluorophores under physiological conditions will be highly useful their applications. In this Article, we present method fluorescently label...
A new phosphonopeptide, alafosfalin, was evaluated for in vitro antibacterial activity and synergism with beta-lactams, using 475 Japanese clinical isolates from urinary tract infections. Alafosfalin found to be highly active against Escherichia coli moderately Serratia, Klebsiella, Enterobacter, Citrobacter, but less gram-positive organisms than were beta-lactams such as cephazolin or ampicillin inactive indole-positive Proteus, Pseudomonas, Acinetobacter. Potentiation the two (fractional...
We have demonstrated selective attachment of streptavidin protein molecules to carbon nanotube (CNT) tips. By applying an alternating electric field CNTs during the reaction between and molecules, proteins were attached selectively CNT tips, where was concentrated; thereby, sidewall suppressed.
Abstract Electrification of phthalocyaninatocopper derivative‐powders was investigated based on the measurement contact potential difference (CPD) between powder and reference gold electrode. The powder‐introduced halogen substituents in end group show negative CPD values. value increases negatively as number chlorine increases, while bromine increases. Powders having hydrogens groups are initially positively electrified tend to their respective values time elapses, powders fully substituted...
We have demonstrated covalent bonding of protein molecules to an oxidized multiwall carbon nanotube (MWCNT) in aqueous buffer solution. A chemical reaction using carbodi-imide forms bonds between open-ended tips MWCNTs and molecules. The statistical examination indicated that proteins were attached at the tip MWCNT a probability as high 50% although sidewall washed out after rinsing with running water.
The design of novel conjugated polymers mainly consisting porphyrin and/or phthalocyanine rings is studied by the use tight-binding crystal orbital method based on extended Hückel approximation. This paper focuses tuning electronic structures these ethynyl bridging as well various linkage modes. It has been clarified that sites (meso-to-meso, meso-to-β and β-to-β) patterns (linear or zigzag) in ethynyl-bridged are crucial for π-conjugation throughout main chain. Furthermore, comparison...
We developed a well-controlled method for sharpening an isolated carbon nanotube (CNT) by inducing electrical current. Conical CNT tips were produced increasing the current abruptly in suspended CNTs to achieve sublimation temperature. Because of parabolic temperature distribution along axis from one-dimensional equation heat conduction, amount center region is greater than that near electrodes. Consequently, two conical formed at cutting section. The process mechanism was examined...
