Our earlier work showed that knockout of hematopoietic prostaglandin D synthase (HPGDS, an enzyme produces D2) caused more adenomas in Apc(Min/+) mice. Conversely, highly expressed transgenic HPGDS allowed fewer tumors. Prostaglandin D2 (PGD2) binds to the receptor known as PTGDR (or DP1). PGD2 metabolites bind peroxisome proliferator-activated γ (PPARG). We hypothesized Ptgdr or Pparg knockouts may raise numbers tumors, if these receptors take part tumor suppression by PGD2. To assess, we...
Abstract Background Systematic, automated methods for monitoring physician performance are necessary if outlying behavior is to be detected promptly and acted on. In the Michigan Urological Surgery Improvement Collaborative (MUSIC), we evaluated several statistical process control (SPC) determine sensitivity ease of interpretation assessing adherence imaging guidelines patients with newly diagnosed prostate cancer. Methods Following dissemination within (MUSIC) men cancer, MUSIC set a target...
