The relationship between inflammatory markers and depressive symptoms has been reported inconsistently. Moreover, there were only a few studies conducted in an Asian population. purpose of this study was to examine the association C reactive protein (CRP) elderly Korean population. This used data from Social Life, Health Aging Project Examination Cohort, which started 2011. Among participants aged 60 or over recruited rural community, 569 (224 men 345 women) without history stroke, angina...

ABSTRACT Objectives To provide policy‐relevant evidence to reduce oral health disparities and improve dental care accessibility by considering characteristics of urban rural areas. Background Individual regional factors influence access. Regional poverty limited resources among older adults may contribute unmet needs due cost. Access to dental services is essential for improving quality of life, and social capital plays a key role in facilitating that access. This study aimed identify individual- regional-level factors, including capital, predict unmet care needs among older adults. We analyzed data from 59,414 adults obtained the 2023 Korea Community Health Survey Korean Statistical Information Service, employing 2-level multilevel model. The dependent variables comprised 3 types needs: overall, due lack...

Objective To evaluate the association between environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) exposure and depression among Korean women. Methods Between 2008 2011, we examined 731 men 1249 women (aged 39–85 years) for Genome Epidemiology Study (KoGES)-Kangwha. Among 1208 never-smoking women, excluded two taking antidepressants five who did not complete Beck Depression Inventory (BDI). Therefore, performed a cross-sectional analysis on 1201 ETS was assessed using self-reported questionnaire, classified...

A number of decoding schemes have recently been proposed to perform maximum-likelihood (ML) detection for multi-input-multi-output (MIMO) systems. In this paper, employing a ldquobreadth-firstrdquo search algorithm closet points in lattice, we propose novel ML scheme called the breadth-first signal decoder (BSIDE). Through analysis and computer simulations, it is shown that BSIDE has same bit-error-rate performance as conventional decoders while allowing significantly lower computational...

In this paper, the detection of weak signals in additive noise described by first-order moving average (FOMA) an impulsive process is considered. Specifically, decision regions maximum likelihood (ML) and suboptimum ML (S-ML) detectors are derived FOMA model, specific examples S-ML obtained. The employed antipodal signaling system compared terms bit error rate environment.
