Interaction cross sections and charged pion spectra in p+C interactions at 31 GeV/c were measured with the large acceptance NA61/SHINE spectrometer CERN SPS. These data are required to improve predictions of neutrino flux for T2K long baseline oscillation experiment Japan. A set collected during first run 2007 an isotropic graphite target a thickness 4% nuclear interaction length was used analysis. The inelastic production 257.2 +- 1.9 8.9 mb 229.3 9.0 mb, respectively. Inclusive negatively...

Spectra of positively charged kaons in p+C interactions at 31 GeV/c were measured with the NA61/SHINE spectrometer CERN SPS. The analysis is based on full set data collected 2007 a graphite target thickness 4% nuclear interaction length. Interaction cross sections and pion spectra already using same data. These new measurements combination published ones are required to improve predictions neutrino flux for T2K long baseline oscillation experiment Japan. In particular, knowledge kaon...

As part of the Transport and Chemical Evolution over Pacific (TRACE‐P) mission, ozonesondes were used to make ozone vertical profile measurements at nine locations in North Pacific. At most sites there is a multiyear record observations. From western (Hong Kong; Taipei; Jeju Island, Korea; Naha, Kagoshima, Tsukuba, Sapporo, Japan), site central (Hilo, Hawaii), on west coast United States (Trinidad Head, California) both seasonal event specific picture tropospheric emerges. Ozone profiles...

Abstract. The accuracy of total ozone computed from the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory (SAO) optimal estimation (OE) profile algorithm (SOE) applied to Ozone Monitoring Instrument (OMI) is assessed through comparisons with ground-based Brewer spectrometer measurements 2005 2008. We also compare three OMI operational products, derived NASA Total Mapping Spectrometer (TOMS) algorithm, KNMI (Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute) differential optical absorption spectroscopy (DOAS)...

In particular, the an essential element that feeds lubricant in engine. The main components are two rotors. Usually, outer one characterized by lobes with a circular shape, while inner rotor profile determined as conjugate to other. this study, design optimization has been carried out determine parameters maximize specific flow rate minimize...

Abstract. Most previous evaluations of satellite performance relied on pair wise comparisons with limited spatial and temporal coverage surface-based measurements such as soundings in-situ measurements. Especially, validation HCHO is very difficult because ground-based are extremely sparse. We use a new scientific approach, statistical analyses empirical orthogonal function (EOF) singular value decomposition (SVD), to provide three-dimensional results global picture over long measurement...

Abstract. Using TOMS total-ozone measurements over high-altitude cloud locations and nearby paired clear locations, we describe the Clear-Cloudy Pairs (CCP) method for deriving tropical tropospheric ozone. The clouds are identified by measured 380 nm reflectivities greater than 80% Temperature Humidity InfraRed (THIR) cloud-top pressures less 200 hPa. To account without clouds, apply a zonal sine fitting to stratospheric ozone derived from available cloudy points, resulting in wave-one...

Dynamics and state filling of the resonantly excited ground (1se-1S3∕2h) in a strongly confined CdSe quantum dot were investigated by degenerate pump-probe measurements. With increasing electron-hole (e-h) pairs per bleaching observed with ∼2.7 e-h pairs. While radiative recombination was dominant small number (⪡1), Auger-type became significant near (∼2.7). This result suggests that, for resonant excitation, either cold electron or hole is scattered into higher-energy states ZnS shell via...

Abstract. This study investigates anomalous ozone distributions over cloudy areas in Nimbus-7 (N7) and Earth-Probe (EP) TOMS version-7 data analyzes the causes for anomaly formation. A 5°-longitude by 5°-latitude region is defined to contain a Positive Ozone Anomaly (POA) or Negative (NOA) if correlation coefficient between total reflectivity > 0.5 < -0.5. The average fractions of anomalies among all cloud fields are 31.8 ± 7.7% 35.8 N7 EP data, respectively. Some caused retrieval...
