To investigate the prevalence and risk factors of enlarged blind spots in non-pathological highly myopic eyes. Visual field conditions 313 eyes 172 individuals with high myopia were evaluated. Clinical characteristics 116 normal visual fields compared. Generalized-estimating equation (GEE) regression model used to assess associated spots. The frequency was 37.06% this sample. Eyes had larger gamma zone (P = 0.038), PHOMS area < 0.001), increased peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer...

The expression profiles of miRNAs in thymus tissues from mice different age have been demonstrated our previous study. After an integrated analysis the miRNA profiles, we that miR-181a-5p was significantly decreased thymic epithelial cells (TECs) 10- to 19-month-old when compared with TECs 1-month-old by quantitative reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction. We hypothesized might be associated age-related involution through regulating some genes or signaling pathway. To test this...

Abstract This study aimed to compare the accuracy of CT and MRI in determining invasion thyroid cartilage by T staging laryngeal carcinoma with anterior vocal commissure (AVC) involvement. A total 26 cases carcinomas AVC involvement from May 2012 January 2014 underwent enhanced scan, out whom 6 patients also diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging(DWI). were evaluated. All surgical specimens serial section reviewed two senior pathologists independently. When compared pathologic...

Abstract In this study, the self-extracted constipation treatment of traditional Chinese medicine extracts was applied to constipated rats. To explore mechanism and role for constipation, 16S rRNA sequencing qRT-PCR technology were used analyze intestinal flora. We found that relative abundance Firmicutes with significantly higher accounted 86.7%, while gut microbiota changed after taking a certain dose medicine, greatly increased Lactobacillus 23.1%, enhanced symbiotic relationships other...

Abstract Cyclin-dependent kinase-4 (CDK4) and CDK6 form a complex with D-type cyclins to phosphorylate Retinoblastoma protein (Rb), leading loss of repression E2F transcription factors, which enables cell cycle progression from G1 S phase. Loss control caused by aberrations in CDK/Rb signaling pathway are common solid tumors. Inhibiting CDK4/6 blocks pathway, prevents through restriction point, thus arresting tumor growth. Most the 1st generation CDK inhibitors lack family selectivity,...

This article explores the features and role of anterior vocal commissure (AVC) structure surface morphologies glottic carcinomas with AVC involvement to provide a reference for selection transoral carbon dioxide (CO2) laser surgery. A total 31 cases from May 2012 January 2014 were included. All patients underwent electronic laryngoscopic examinations computed tomography scans determine morphology. After surgery, tumor specimens resected integrally, axial serial sections parallel plane cords...

Three-dimensional high-resolution anorectal manometry (3DHRAM) is a new technique that can explore disorders and provide interesting topographic data for the diagnosis of pelvic floor such as paradoxical puborectalis syndrome (PPS). Our object was to evaluate whether 3DHRAM reliably diagnose PPS already diagnosed with X-ray defaecography, which considered be gold standard. All patients being tested in our department dyschezia by 3D-HRAM defecography were eligible study. The results compared...
