Summary We have analyzed mtDNA HVI sequences and Y chromosome haplogroups based on 11 binary markers in 371 individuals, from populations the Caucasus neighbouring countries of Turkey Iran. haplogroup diversity was almost as high Central Asia Near East, significantly higher than Europe. More 27% variance Y‐haplogroups can be attributed to differences between populations, whereas showed much lower heterogeneity (less then 5%), suggesting a strong influence patrilocal social structure. Several...

Since in cell therapy, there are always concerns about immune rejection, genetic disability, and malignancies, special attention has been paid to extracellular vesicles (EVs) which secreted by mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs). In the present study, we assessed compared therapeutic effects of human adipose-derived (hADSC) hADSC-EVs from adipose tissue on experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE). After induction EAE C57Bl/6 mice, they were treated with hADSCs, hADSC-EVs, or vehicle...

The plant phenolic compounds such as flavonoids have an important role in the treatment of many diseases and some them a potent hepatoprotective effect. In this study, we investigated protective effects polyphenolic extracts Silybum marianum Cichorium intybus on thioacethamideinduced hepatotoxicity rat. were injected to rats, at dosis 25 mg kgG body weight 1 together whit thioacetamide 50 weight. To assess affectivity extracts, against thioacetamide, activity aminotransferases (SGOT SGPT),...

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disorder that associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease. Vaccinium myrtillus (bilberry) useful plant antidiabetic properties in traditional medicine. The aim this study was to investigate the effects bilberry against DM. induced using intraperitoneal injection alloxan (120 mg kg(-1) body weight (BW)). Bilberry powder (2 g d(-1)) and glibenclamide (positive control; 0.6 BW) were administered for 4 weeks following injection. Serum...

Background Spinal cord injury (SCI) is a debilitating condition characterized by partial or complete loss of motor and sensory function caused mechanical trauma to the spinal cord. Novel therapeutic approaches are continuously explored enhance regeneration functional recovery. Purpose In this study, we investigated efficacy poly(vinyl alcohol) chitosan (PVA/CS) scaffold loaded with different thymol concentrations (5, 10, 15 wt%) in rat compression model for SCI treatment compare other (e.g.,...

Abstract Background : Diabetes mellitus arises from a deficient production and action of insulin. Ziziphus vulgaris L. (jujube) is medicinal plant that known to have anti-diabetic actions. The aim the present study was investigate protective effects jujube fruit powder extract against biochemical imbalances in stereptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetes. Methods induced rats using intraperitoneal injection STZ at dose 60 mg/kg body weight (bw). Jujube (1 g/kg bw) were administered daily via...

Resistin is peptides that signal the functional status of adipose tissue to brain and other target organs. It causes insulin resistance affects vascular endothelial dysfunction. However, function relation between resistin in endothelin-1 (ET-1), which leads dysfunction humans are enigmatic. In a cross-sectional study 76 participants (38 metabolic syndrome patients 38 healthy participants), biochemical clinical parameters, including lipid profile, fasting glucose, resistin, ET-1, C-reactive...

Materials Methods: radiologic clinical responses effusions were compared randomized trial. Forty-two patients receive either 45 mg or 600 as sclerotherapy agent. Chest X-rays taken before after intervention, 10 days 2 months later response. Dyspnea other side effects, recorded compared. Chi-square test applied analyze data. Results: prevalence dyspnea its...

Evidence suggests that diets with high contents of cholesterol will increase serum lipoproteins and apolipoproteins, thereby risk atherosclerosis. According to literature, some plants show hypolipidemic, hypocholestrolemic, antiatherosclerotic activities. In this study, effect Hypericum perforatum hydroalcoholic extract on hypercholesterolemic rabbits was compared lovastatin.Twenty five mature male New Zealand were randomly divided into groups fed for 60 days as follows: Standard diet...

Several studies were pointed to oxidized LDL (ox-LDL) as one of the main immunogenes which have important roles in primary lesions atherosclerosis. In this study, by immunization against ox-LDL with two different antigens an animal model (rabbit) and consideration its effect on dietary regimens; we tried clear relation between immune system was isolated from hypercholesterolemic rabbits plasma MDA or Cu++. Monocyte chemoattractant protein 1 (MCP1) with recruiting monocytes is an important factor at the beginning of inflammatory disorders such as atherosclerosis which seems its blocking preclude this process and help improvement related diseases. To perform clinical research in field, MCP1 required but firstly, animal studies should be done. As rabbit a suitable model for many disorders, Escherichia coli BL21(DE3) (BL21) cell high-efficiency host expression, we decided to produce recombinant...
