Abstract Periodontitis is closely related to inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). An excessive and non-self-limiting immune response the dysbiotic microbiome characterizes two. However, underlying mechanisms that overlap still need be clarified. We demonstrate critical periodontal pathogen Porphyromonas gingivalis (Pg) aggravates intestinal inflammation Th17/Treg cell imbalance in a gut microbiota-dependent manner. Specifically, metagenomic metabolomic analyses shows oral administration of Pg...

This article presents a review to provide up-to-date research findings on concentrated photovoltaic (CPV) cooling, explore the key challenges and opportunities, discuss limitations. In addition, it provides vision of possible future trend glimpse promising novel approach CPV cooling based pulsating flow, in contrast existing methods. Non-concentrated photovoltaics (PV) have modest efficiency up around 20% because they utilise only narrow spectrum solar irradiation for electricity conversion....

Floating solar renewable energy is of enormous potential in Indonesia. This paper presents a comprehensive study the design Photovoltaic (FPV) systems with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) for three islands These represent typical scenarios Indonesia (a) using national grid powered by fossil fuel generators, (b) local diesel and (c) no at all. In-person surveys were conducted these to collect data, then FPV BESS designed meet demands each island. Subsequently, systems’ simulations...

The bipolar and unipolar fatigue behavior of the lead‐free piezo‐ ferroelectric 0.94Bi 1/2 Na TiO 3 –0.06BaTiO (94BNT–6BT) was investigated. To obtain a complete profile behavior, both large‐signal (polarization, strain) small‐signal ( d 33 , ɛ ) properties were measured at room temperature. results indicate that material suffers significant degradation in large‐ after cycling, with most occurring first 10 4 cycles test.

The fatigue behavior of the lead‐free piezoelectric Bi 1/2 Na TiO 3 –BaTiO −K 0.5 NbO ( BNT ‐ BT KNN ) under bipolar and unipolar electrical loading is investigated. Special attention paid to effect a decreasing ferroelectric order which was affected by an increase in ‐content. It found that, mainly systems with low ‐content, cycling leads domain wall pinning formation microcracks, while non‐ferroelectric high ‐content can be rationalized repeated field‐induced phase transition occurring...

The balance of oral microbiomes is crucial to maintain health. Microecological imbalance can impair the function mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) and lead delay wound healing. Probiotics a promising prevention approach for treatment inflammatory diseases caused by bacterial infection. However, effect probiotics on MSCs healing unclear. In present study, we used one type Lactobacillus reuteri extracts determine whether could regulate functions gingiva (GMSCs) promote healing.Lactobacillus was...

Abstract Background Aspirin has been demonstrated to promote osteoblast-mediated bone formation and inhibit osteoclast (OC)-mediated resorption. However, it remains unclear whether aspirin influences other immune cells during Dendritic (DCs), the most potent antigen-presenting cells, can also transdifferentiate into active OCs in presence of receptor activator nuclear factor-κB ligand (RANKL) macrophage colony-stimulating factor (M-CSF). The effects on DC-derived (DDOCs) were investigated...

Whilst there is an interest in floating solar energy systems coastal and offshore regions to utilise available sea space, they are subject ocean waves that introduce constant momentum. Consequently, panels undergo periodic motions with the waves, causing a continuous change tilt angle. The angle variation sub-optimal process leads loss of harnessing efficiency. To investigate this phenomenon, present study innovatively installed simulator on top wave tank. was used generate high-strength...

Telomeric repeat binding factor 2 (TRF2) is essential for telomere maintenance and has been implicated in DNA damage response aging. Telomere dysfunction induced by TRF2 inhibition can accelerate cellular senescence human fibroblasts. While previous work demonstrated that a variety of factors regulate expression transcriptionally post-translationally, whether microRNAs (miRNAs) also participate post-transcriptionally modulating levels remains largely unknown. To better understand the...

Cellular polypropylene (PP) ferroelectret is a thin and flexible cellular polymer foam that generates electrical power under mechanical force. This work investigates single multilayer PP foams their potential to supply energy for human-body-worn sensors. Human foot-fall emulated using an electrodynamic instrument, allowing applied compressive force momentum be correlated with output. Peak power, output pulse duration, per strike derived experimentally as function of momentum, shown strong...
