The phthalates are ubiquitous industrial plasticizers and include agents such as di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), dibutyl (DBP), butyl benzyl (BBP), which classified endocrine disruptors because of their anti-androgenic or pro-estrogenic effects. A recent study suggested that DBP produced the hypomethylation c-myc protooncogene in mouse liver to activate c-myc. In present study, DNA at promoter region estrogen receptor alpha (ERalpha) gene was investigated by methylation-specific...

A suite of eight cationic, tetra-metallic molecular rectangles (1–8) was generated via coordination-driven self-assembly using four dicarboxylate-bridged arene-Ru precursors (A1–A4) with one two dipyridyl ligands (D1, D2). The high-yielding (84–92%) were characterized by 1H NMR and HR-ESI-MS to support their structural assignments. structure 5 determined single crystal X-ray analysis, which indicated that D2 bridge A1 acceptors form a rectangular construct. photophysical properties these...

Fucoidan is an l-fucose-enriched sulfated polysaccharide isolated from brown algae and marine invertebrates. In this study, we investigated the protective effect of fucoidan Fucus vesiculosus on alcohol-induced murine liver damage. Liver injury was induced by oral administration 25% alcohol with or without (30 mg/kg 60 mg/kg) for seven days. Alcohol increased serum aspartate aminotransferase alanine levels, but these increases were suppressed treatment fucoidan. Transforming growth factor...
