Three compounds including (1) lupeol acetate, (2) 1-palmitoylglycerol and (3) tricin were isolated from the hexane ethyl acetate extracts of Vernonia cinerea (L.) Less. Their structures interpreted by spectroscopic methods such as 1H-NMR,13C-NMR, HSQC, HMBC, MS based on published data. Total polyphenolic content showed extract (215.55 mg GAE /g extract) was higher than ethanol aqueous extracts.
