Ulcerative colitis (UC) is an idiopathic, chronic inflammatory disorder of the colon, and it has become one world-recognized medical problems as recurrent refractory.Berberine (BBR) effective drug for UC treatment. However, underlying mechanism targets remain obscure. In this study, we systematically investigated therapeutic effect its BBR in ameliorating DSS-induced mouse colitis.Expectedly, colon inflammation was significantly relieved by BBR, microbiota depletion antibiotic cocktail...

Abstract BACKGROUND The entomopathogenic fungus Beauveria bassiana has been widely used for pest biocontrol with conidia serving as the main active agents. Conidial yield and quality are two important characteristics in fungal development, however, regulatory mechanisms that orchestrate conidial formation development not well understood. RESULTS In this study, we identified a Zn 2 Cys 6 transcription factor BbCDR1 inhibits production while promoting maturation. Compared wild type, ΔBbCDR1...

Ultraviolet (UV)-induced photoaging skin has become an urgent issue. The functional foods and cosmetics aiming to improve are developing rapidly, the demand is gradually increasing year by year. Collagen peptides have been proven display diverse physiological activities, such as excellent moisture retention activity, hygroscopicity, tyrosinase inhibitory activity antioxidant which indicates that they great potential in amelioration of UV-induced photoaging. main objective this article recap...

In order to investigate the impact of phosphorylation modification on fish bone collagen peptide (CP), CP was subjected generate phosphorylated (P-CP). and P-CP were further chelated with calcium form calcium-chelated (Ca-CP) (Ca-P-CP). The structural changes before after chelation reaction characterized. Additionally, their stability antioxidant activity evaluated. calcium-binding capacity significantly enhanced by phosphorylation, highest calcium-chelating reached 128.21 mg/g. introduction...

This study aimed at exploring dipeptidyl peptidase-IV (DPP-IV) inhibitory peptides from silkworm pupae proteins by in silico analysis and vitro assessments. In of 274 proteomes indicated that DPP-IV can be released proteins. assessments revealed pepsin bromelain led to better production protein. Notably, peptide fractions (<1 kDa) pepsin- bromelain-treated hydrolysates exhibited more potent activities. Two novel (Leu-Pro-Pro-Glu-His-Asp-Trp-Arg Leu-Pro-Ala-Val-Thr-Ile-Arg) were identified...
