We report on the first measurement of a hypernuclear gamma-transition probability. gamma rays emitted in E2(5/2(+)-->1/2(+)) transition (7)(Lambda)Li were detected by large-acceptance germanium detector array (Hyperball), and lifetime parent state ( 5/2(+)) was determined Doppler shift attenuation method. The obtained result, 5.8(+0.9)(-0.7)+/-0.7 ps, then converted into reduced probability [ B(E2)] to be B(E2;5/2(+)-->1/2(+)) = 3.6+/-0.5(+0.5)(-0.4) e(2) fm(4). Compared with B(E2)...
Excitation energy spectra of 89ΛY, 51ΛV, and 12ΛC have been measured via the (π+,K+) reaction by using SKS spectrometer at K6 beam line in KEK 12-GeV Proton Synchrotron. In 89ΛY spectrum, obtained with an resolution 1.65 MeV (FWHM) highest statistics so far, we succeeded clearly observing a characteristic fine structure heavy Λ hypernuclear systems precisely obtaining series single-particle energies very wide excitation range more than 20 MeV, for first time. Also 51ΛV similar to that was...
Using a large-acceptance germanium detector array (Hyperball), we have observed spin-flip M1 gamma transition between the ground-state spin doublet of (7)(Lambda)Li (3/2(+)-->1/2(+)). The energy 691.7+/-0.6(stat)+/-1.0(syst) keV provides crucial information on strength spin-spin interaction Lambda and nucleon. This is first observation well-identified hypernuclear transitions using detectors.
The objective of our study was to evaluate whether diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) with a high b factor can be used differentiate malignancies from benign pulmonary nodules. This included 54 nodules (>or= 5 mm in diameter) 51 consecutive patients (37 men, 14 women; mean age, 65.7 years; age range, 31-88 years). Thirty-six (67%) the were malignant, and 18 (33%) benign. Two radiologists independently reviewed signal intensity on DWI 1,000 s/mm(2) using 5-point rank scale without knowledge...
This article reports lattice deformation and phase transition of AlScN thin films in the whole composition. were deposited on Pt/Ta/SiO2/Si substrates by direct current magnetron reactive sputtering with Al Sc targets. At concentration up to 30%, has a wurtzite structure piezoelectricity. Transition from two-phase mixture happens between 30% 35% concentration, cubic 38% 43% concentration. The gradually deforms decrease constant c 16% Lattice at region is larger than that These increases mean...

The system is comprised of 10.4 mm × CMOS chip 20 unit cells, external circuit box, control data acquisition, DC power box. Each cell the contains operational amplifier switched-capacitor type I–V converter in-pixel signal amplification. successfully realized wide dynamic range from ±1 pA to ±100 nA well-organized design...
PURPOSE: To correlate the appearance of bronchioloalveolar adenoma (BAA) lung at computed tomography (CT) with its pathologic features. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Nine small pulmonary nodules ground-glass attenuation were found CT in 668 patients carcinoma. Seven these nine lesions histopathologically diagnosed as BAA four (three men and one woman, aged 66-77 years) man, two lesion each remaining men) are subject this study. RESULTS: appeared a nodule attenuation; microscopic examination...
We have developed a large-scale integrated (LSI) complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS)-based amperometric sensor array system called "Bio-LSI" as platform for electrochemical bio-imaging and multi-point biosensing with 400 measurement points. In this study, we newly Bio-LSI chip light-shield structure mode-selectable function the aim of extending application range Bio-LSI. The light shield created by top metal layer LSI significantly reduces noise generated photocurrent, whose value...
ZnSe single crystals, some of which had been previously heat-treated in molten Zn or doped with Cu, were Se vapor. The Hall effect and the electrical conductivity measured examined as a function vapor pressure. Conduction after heat treatment is considered to be dominated by vacancies, interstitials, associated defects containing one these, while high n-type observed vacancies interstitials. With decrease acceptor impurity concentration, transition pressure from low shifts corresponding...
Highly strained GaInAs quantum well lasers emitting at 1.21 µm are fabricated on GaAs substrates. Room-temperature continuous-wave operation with a low threshold current density of 360 A/cm 2 is achieved. 1.3 GaInNAs/GaAs can be nitrogen content 0.5%.
We have measured the neutron spectra emitted in weak decay of $_{\ensuremath{\Lambda}}^{12}\mathrm{C}$ and $_{\ensuremath{\Lambda}}^{89}\mathrm{Y}$ over energy region above $10\phantom{\rule{0.3em}{0ex}}\text{MeV}$ $({\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+},{K}^{+})$ reaction with better statistics an improved signal-to-background ratio. The yields nonmesonic decays were obtained from spectra. By using proton yield $_{\ensuremath{\Lambda}}^{12}\mathrm{C}$, ${\ensuremath{\Gamma}}_{n}∕{\ensuremath{\Gamma}}_{p}$...
Undoped and Cl-doped ZnSe specimens were heat-treated in Zn or Se vapor, molten Zn, the photoluminescence spectra electron concentration of measured. Several new emissions observed high-purity with Cl ([Cl]) lower than 10 15 cm -3 while SA-emission band a I DEEP 1 line [Cl]>10 Zn. The former was to increase [Cl] vapor pressure, latter [Cl]. at room temperature proportional for [Cl]<10 17 . This paper proposes model explaining these effects on dependence defects, donors, SA-centers ( V ) -

Free-exciton luminescence spectra and reflection were measured at 2 K as a function of the deviation from stoichiometry in ZnSe. The is regulated by heat-treating specimens under controlled Zn or Se pressure. With increase pressure, emission (Ex) due to radiative annihilation excitonic polaritons bottleneck region shifts towards higher energy then disappears, new peak appears near 2.804 eV. These behaviors are explained trapping excitons native neutral acceptors, i.e. zinc vacancies (VZn)...

Using a large-acceptance germanium detector array (Hyperball), we measured γ-ray spectrum in coincidence with production of 7ΛLi bound states the 7Li(π+,K+) reaction. We observed peak at 429 keV due to transition from first excited state 7Be produced by weak decay 7ΛLi, 7ΛLi→7Be∗(1/2−,429 keV)+π−. From yield this γ-ray, branching ratio 7Be∗(429) was obtained be (6.0+1.3−1.6)×10−2. Compared theoretically calculated values partial rates, measurement indicates that ground-state spin is 1/2 but not 3/2.

The intensity due to Cl Se donors In Zn decreases with increase Intensity variation is considered be concerned out-diffusion from crystals, formation SA-center occupation site by Cl.
To evaluate the role of diffusion-weighted MRI (DW-MRI) as an imaging biomarker for upper urinary tract cancer (UUTC) that has already metastasized or will metastasize soon.61 patients clinically diagnosed with UUTC were prospectively enrolled in this study.
