Porcine circovirus type 3 (PCV3) was detected in Shandong, China. One hundred and thirty-two of 222 (59.46%) samples were PCV3 positive, while 52 132 (39.39%) co-infected with PCV2. There no clinical signs infection either multiparous sows or live-born infants. Two strains indentified from natural stillborn foetuses. Phylogenetic analysis showed the two are 96% identical to known PCV3/Pig/USA (KX778720.1, KX966193.1 KX898030.1) closely related Barbel Circovirus. Further studies epidemiology...
In this study, the co-infection of Torque teno sus virus (TTSuV) and porcine circovirus type 3 (PCV3) was reported. One hundred ten 132 (83.3%) PCV3-positive samples were co-infected with 1 (TTSuV1). Ninety-four (71.2%) 2 (TTSuV2). Sixty-six (50.0%) both TTSuV1 TTSuV2. There no clinical signs infection in pigs that PCV2-negative, either multiparous sows or live-born infants. The high rate provides valuable information for further study pathological correlation between PCV3 TTSuVs.
Herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) is a neurotropic alphaherpesvirus that establishes lifelong infection in sensory neurons of infected individuals, accompanied with intermittent reactivation latent causing (a)symptomatic shedding. Whereas acyclovir (ACV) safe and highly effective antiviral to treat HSV-1 infections, long-term usage can lead emergence ACV resistant (ACV
In this study, a rapid and specific assay for the detection of porcine circovirus type 3 (PCV3) was established using loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP). Four primers were specifically designed to amplify PCV3. The LAMP effectively optimized PCV3 by water bath at 60°C 60 min. limit approximately 1 × 101 copy in assay. Compared 2 (PCV2), both gE gD genes pseudorabies virus (PRV) parvovirus (PPV), showed high A visible method developed SYBR Green I recognize results rapidly. Based...
This study aimed at reseaching the immune effect of porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) DNA vaccine containing CpG motif on mice. A total 40 6-week-old female BALB/c mice were randomly divided into four groups which immunized by 18CpG-pVAX1-ORF2, pVAX1-ORF2, pVAX1 and PBS, respectively, again weeks later. All challenged with 0.2 mL PCV2 cells virulent strain SD (106.0 TCID50/mL) after 4 weeks. Average daily gain, blood antibody levels, microscopic changes viremia detected to estimate vaccine....
A novel permanently growing brain cell line from koi (Cyprinus carpio L.) (KB line) was established, and its suitability for detection of herpesvirus (KHV) demonstrated in this study. The KB optimally maintained at 27°C Leibovitz's L-15 medium supplemented with 10% foetal bovine serum (FBS). It subcultured more than 100 times, chromosome analysis revealed that 51.54% cells passage 80 the abnormal diploid number 2n = 96 while modal 100. cryopreserved liquid nitrogen -196°C recovered storage...
Abstract The pandemic caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has resulted in over 500 million infections and more than six deaths worldwide. Although the viral genomes of SARS-CoV-1 SARS-CoV-2 share high sequence homology, clinical pathological features COVID-19 differ profoundly from those SARS. It is apparent that changes genes contribute to increased transmissibility pathology COVID-19. Cytotoxic T lymphocytes play a key role elimination virus-infected...
Enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli (ETEC) is the causative agent of a wide range diseases, which are important cause illness and mortality in piglets.ETEC strains expressing F4 fimbriae frequently associated with post-weaning diarrhea (PWD) lead to great economic losses swine production industry worldwide. The aim this study was establish rapid effective isothermal amplification method for detection fimbriae.Loop-mediated (LAMP), Polymerase spiral reaction (PSR) cross-priming (CPA) were used...
We present an immunocompromised patient with a multiresistant herpes simplex virus-1 reactivation rare mutation (A605V) in the viral DNA polymerase gene. Next-generation sequencing suggests presence of multiple drug-resistant strains before treatment and altered ratios during treatment, affecting clinical response to aciclovir foscarnet.
