Reductase expression is a potential indicator of cellular pathology. Single-detection systems for reductases have been developed, however, the development dual-detection remain largely unexplored. We rationally designed dual-lock fluorescent probe that exhibited high signal-to-noise ratio with fluorescence Off-On response exclusively simultaneous activity two reductases, NTR and hNQO1, which are overexpressed in cancer hypoxia. The system comprised naphthalimide fluorophore control mediated...
Summary Rapid, large‐scale generation of a Ds transposant population was achieved using regeneration procedure involving tissue culture seed‐derived calli carrying Ac and inactive elements. In the F 2 progeny from genetic crosses between same starter lines, most produced an independent germinal transposition frequency 10–20%. Also, many elements underwent immobilization even though expressed. By comparison, in callus‐derived regenerated population, over 70% plants carried insertions,...
Vitis vinifera, the major grapevine species cultivated for wine production, is very susceptible to Erysiphe necator, causal agent of powdery mildew (PM). This obligate biotrophic fungal pathogen attacks both leaf and berry, greatly affecting yield quality. To investigate possible mechanisms nutrient acquisition by successful biotrophs, we characterized a candidate NITRATE TRANSPORTER1/PEPTIDE TRANSPORTER FAMILY (NPF, formerly NRT1/PTR) member, NFP3.2, that was up-regulated in E....
Abstract Streptomyces scabies is an economically important plant pathogen well-known for damaging root and tuber crops by causing scab lesions. Thaxtomin A the main causative agent responsible pathogenicity of S. cello-oligosaccharides are environmental triggers that induce production this phytotoxin. How sensed or transported in order to virulent behavior ? Here we report cellobiose cellotriose binding protein CebE MsiK, ATPase providing energy carbohydrates transport, protagonists...
Abstract Abscisic acid (ABA) is a plant hormone that regulates growth as well stress responses. In this study, we identified and characterized new Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana) protein, Nuclear Protein X1 (NPX1), which was up-regulated by treatment with exogenous ABA. Stomatal closure, seed germination, primary root are well-known ABA responses were less sensitive to in NPX1-overexpressing plants. plants more drought sensitive, the changes response due altered guard cell sensitivity...
Posttranscriptional/translational regulation of gene expression is mediated by diverse RNA binding proteins and plays an important role in development defense processes. Among the RNA-binding proteins, mammalian Pumilio family (Puf) acts as posttranscriptional translational repressors. An Arabidopsis Puf mutant, apum5 - D , was isolated during a T-DNA insertional mutant screen for mutants with reduced susceptibility to Cucumber mosaic virus (CMV) infection. Interestingly, CMV contained...
• In Cucumber mosaic virus (CMV) RNA replication, replicase-associated protein CMV 1a and RNA-dependent polymerase 2a are essential for formation of an active replicase complex on vacuolar membranes. To identify plant host factors involved in a yeast two-hybrid system was used with as bait. One the candidate genes encoded Tsi1-interacting 1 (Tsip1), zinc (Zn) finger protein. Tsip1 strongly interacted protein, too. Formation involving or confirmed vitro planta. When 35S::Tsip1 tobacco...
In this study we investigated the antidiabetic and antiobesity effects of aqueous ethanol extracts traditional kochujang doenjang. The average α-glucosidase inhibitory activity adipogenesis for samples were 29.6% 20.8%, respectively, while those doenjang 46.3% 11.6%, respectively. Therefore, is high in kochujang. Kochujang components responsible suppressing functional by metabolomic analysis. For kochujang, p-coumaric acid, N6,N6,N6-trimethyllysine, threonine, methionine positively...
Many aspects of epigenetic phenomena have been elucidated via studies transposable elements. An active element frequently loses its ability to mobilize and goes into an inactive state during development. In this study, we describe the cyclic activity a maize dissociation (Ds) in rice. rice genome, Ds undergoes spontaneous loss mobility. However, can be changed tissue culture. The recovery mobility accompanies not only changes methylation patterns terminal region Ds, but also alteration...
The feasibility of incorporating jujube powder as a value-added food ingredient in cookies was investigated. amount added (0~20%) found to have significantly affected the cookie quality (p<0.05). Furthermore, pH ranged from 6.16 6.69, and moisture content gradually increased 4.11% 4.76%, while spread ratio loss rate decreased with increasing levels Lightness decreased; however, redness yellowness, well hardness, higher formulation In addition, 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical...
Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are well-known for exerting numerous adverse effects on the gastrointestinal tract such as bleeding, ulceration, and perforation, thereby limiting their use. Most previous studies have focused NSAID-induced gastropathy. However, improved diagnostic techniques recently highlighted small intestinal ulcers, which so far been underestimated. While proton pump inhibitors prescribed to control gastropathy, few preventive strategies existent injury,...
Abstract Background and Objectives This study investigated the effect of using different phenolic‐containing grain brans on nanoparticle properties. Findings successfully synthesized nanoparticles from bran flour isolated three sources: sorghum (Sumac Burgundy) hard red winter wheat (cv. 1863). The phenolic contents were measured as 33.40, 4.98, 1.59 mg GAE/g, respectively. NPs had content measuring 6.41 (sorghum‐Sumac bran), 5.31 (sorghum‐Burgundy 1.15 GAE/g (wheat bran). Adding gold to...
Silage is a high-moisture-content forage that used to feed livestock. Using silage as economically feasible and suitable for cattle management. Secale cereale considered high-quality plant. After the heading stage biomass of S. increases by up 30%; however, lignification in cell wall causes low fermentation efficiency coefficient digestibility, it may also be contaminated mycotoxin-producing fungi can impair quality silage. Therefore, aim this study was screen beneficial Lactobacillius spp....
