Over the last decades, interdisciplinary field of affective sciences has seen proliferation rather than integration theoretical perspectives. This is due to differences in metaphysical and mechanistic assumptions about human phenomena (what they are how work) which, shaped by academic motivations values, have determined constructs operationalizations. An assumption on purpose phenomenacan be used as a teleological principle guide construction common set assumptions—a framework for research....

Objective: This paper investigates the potential of cardiogram-derived traits from electrocardiogram (ECG) and impedance cardiogram (ICG) for biometric identification. Additionally, influence induced emotions on attributes their impact identification accuracy is explored.Method: We compare 7 machine learning classifiers using a dataset gathered 202 individuals to identify highest-performing classifiers. Subsequently, we analyze three different feature sets employing (ECG-only, ICG-only, both...

A potential relationship between unrestricted sucrose intake (USI), overweight, and emotional/behavioral control has not been well documented. We examined the influence of USI having less sweetness than expected on body weight (BW), motor/exploratory, anxiety-like, social dominant behavior in adult C57BL/6J male mice. Animals had free access to water (group 1) or 32% (sucrose groups 2-5) for 10 days. Then, group 2 remained with while 3-5 were subjected downshift (24 h 4%, 8%, 16% sucrose)....
