The dynamic tensile properties and microstructural evolution of an extruded EW75 magnesium alloy deformed at ambient temperature different high strain rates (from 1000 to 3000 s-1) along extrusion direction (ED) were investigated by Split Hopkinson Tension Bar (SHTB). corresponding deformation mechanisms, texture microstructure changes analyzed optical microscope (OM), electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) transmission (TEM). results show that the ED exhibits a conventional positive rate...
In this work, the effect of thermomechanical processing schedules on microstructure, texture and mechanical anisotropy Mg-1.64Al-0.84Zn-0.38Mn-0.49Ca (AZMX1100, wt.%) alloy was investigated. Two hot rolling regimes: unidirectional cross (UR CR, respectively), followed by subsequent annealing, were systematically studied using different reductions per pass (r. p. p.) from 10 to 30%. The findings showed that CR samples developed more recrystallized grains fine twins compared UR ones. At a low...
The microstructure and corrosion properties of AZ31 alloy with microalloying Ca Ce addition were studied. was examined by SEM, EBSD EDS. behavior evaluated immersion tests electrochemical tests. microalloyed alloys had much finer grains than the alloy. possessed a small quantity coarse Al8Mn5 phase particles. In contrast, relatively higher number smaller second particles: Al2Ca, Al11Ce3 Al8CeMn4 besides Al8Mn5. rates ranked as AZ31-0.2Ca < AZ31-0.2Ca-0.2Ce AZ31-0.2Ce AZ31. micro-alloying...
