A novel two-dimensional (2D) coordination polymer, [Co(ppad)2]n (1), resulted from the assembly of Co(II) ions based on a versatile ligand termed N(3)-(3-pyridoyl)-3-pyridinecarboxamidrazone. Alternating/direct-current magnetic studies compound 1 indicate that spatially separated high-spin act as single-ion magnets (SIMs). The present work represents first case 2D Co(II)-based SIM composed monocomponent organic spacer.
Stable Ln(iii)-MOFs with a versatile 2-(4-pyridyl)-terephthalic acid ligand can be used as multifunctional sensing platform for Fe3+, Cr2O72−, and nitrofuran detection.
Two β-diketone mononuclear Dy(III) compounds, formulated as Dy(BTFA)3(H2O)2 (1) and Dy(BTFA)3(bpy) (2) (BTFA = 3-benzoyl-1,1,1-trifluoroacetone, bpy 2,2′-bipyridine), were prepared. Compound 1 can be identified to transform 2 in the attendance of coligand, when local geometry symmetry eight-coordinated ion changes from a dodecahedron (D2d) square antiprism (D4d) 2. Fine-tuning structure aroused by auxiliary ligand has dramatical impact on magnetic properties compounds Magnetic investigations...
Employing two benzoate derivatives with different numbers of non-coordinated fluoro-substituents, 2-fluorobenzoic acid (2-Hfba) and 2,6-difluorobenzoic (2,6-Hdfba), new azido-copper coordination polymers, [Cu(2-fba)(N3)(CH3OH)]n (1) [Cu(2,6-dfba)(N3)(CH3OH)]n (2), have been successfully isolated, then structurally magnetically investigated. Single crystal structure analysis demonstrates that the metal cations in resulting compounds are connected by alternating triple-bridge μ-1,1-azido,...
Based on the solvent-induced effect, three new azido-copper coordination polymers--[Cu(2-na)(N3)] (1), [Cu(2-na)(N3)] (2), and [Cu(2-na)(N3)(C2H5OH)] (3) (where 2-na = 2-naphthoic acid)--have been successfully prepared. Structure analysis shows that Cu(II) cations in compounds 1-3 present tetra-, penta-, hexa-coordination geometries, respectively. Compound 1 is a well-isolated one-dimensional (1D) chain with EO-azido group, while 2 an isomer of exhibits two-dimensional (2D) layer involving...
By means of the facile chemistry, structural assembly, and transformation four mononuclear Dy(III) complexes, Dy(bpad)3·CH3OH·H2O (1), Dy(bpad)2(H2O)2·NO3 (2), [Dy(bpad)2(tmhd)] (3), [Dy(bpad)2(btfa)] (4) (Hbpad = N3-benzoylpyridine-2-carboxamidrazone, tmhd 2,2,6,6-tetramethylheptane-3,5-dione, btfa 3-benzoyl-1,1,1-trifluoroacetone), with distinct architectures local symmetries were established. The disparity coordination geometries around ion among these complexes impacts strength crystal...
A mononuclear Dy(III) complex, with formula [Dy(Dicnq)(TFNB)3] (1), is synthesized through a self-assembly 4,4,4-trifluoro-1-(2-naphthyl)-1,3-butanedione (TFNB) and 6,7-dicyanodipyrido [2,2-d:2′,3′-f] quinoxaline (Dicnq) ligands. Single-crystal structure determination reveals that ion in...
Abstract A family of four mononuclear Dy III β‐diketonate complexes with formulas [Dy(tmhd) 3 (Br 2 ‐bpy) ( 1) , (Br‐bpy)] ), (dppz)] and (mcdpq)] 4 ) (tmhd=2,2,6,6‐tetramethyl‐3,5‐heptanedione, Br ‐bpy=5,5′‐dibromo‐2,2′‐bipyridine, Br‐bpy=5‐bromo‐2,2′‐bipyridine, dppz=dipyrido [3,2‐ a :2′,3′‐c]phenazine, mcdpq=2‐methoxyl‐3‐cyanodipyrido[3,2‐ f :2,3′‐h]quinoxaline) were prepared by modifying the capping N‐donor coligands. centers in these feature an N O 6 octacoordinate environment distorted...
Pillar-layered structures represent a significant category within MOFs; however, the exploration of their chemical stability and systematic functionalization has been largely neglected. Herein, we fabricated pillar-layered MOF (Zn-LC–C) with fsc topology, utilizing tetradentate carboxylic ligand bipyridine Zn(II) ions via approach. Notably, this topological structure displays markedly superior compared typical MOFs pcu topology. In addition, by introducing unsaturated bonds to modify...

Complexation of dysprosium(iii) ions with a multidentate hydrazone ligand, N-[(E)-pyridin-2-ylmethylideneamino]pyridine-2-carboxamide (L), in the presence different β-diketonate coligands, leads to formation two novel DyIII dimers, formulas Dy2(BTFA)4(L)2 (1) and Dy2(TTA)4(L)2 (2) (BTFA = 3-benzoyl-1,1,1-trifluoroacetone TTA 4,4,4-trifluoro-1-(2-thienyl)-1,3-butanedionate). They exhibit slightly coordination geometries around centers discrepant binuclear motifs - as result altering coligands...

In these complexes, the metal centers behave as hexacoordinated environments with distorted octahedral geometries, which is unusual in lanthanide series, linking to each other producing a fascinating architecture. Magnetically, 1 features field-driven dual-magnetic relaxation, rarely observed high-dimensional...
