Background: Achieving universal health coverage for maternal (MH) requires a system that ensures the availability, accessibility, acceptability, and effective use of services. The study aimed to identify bottlenecks hinder project outcomes MH in rural districts Tanzania. Methods: This employed convergent mixed-method approach conduct bottleneck analysis. Quantitative data were collected indicators utilization, with source including Tanzanian statistics, facilities women reproductive age...
Obesity is characterized by elevated infiltration of macrophages into adipose tissue, leading to the development insulin resistance. The black soybean seed coat a rich source anthocyanins with antioxidative and anti-inflammatory activities. This study investigated effects anthocyanin extract (BSAn) on obesity-induced oxidative stress, inflammatory response, resistance in coculture system hypertrophied 3T3-L1 adipocytes RAW264 macrophages. Coculture increased production reactive oxygen...
Psidium guajava (guava) leaves have been frequently used for the treatment of rheumatism, fever, arthritis and other inflammatory conditions. The purpose this study was to identify major anti-inflammatory compounds from guava leaf extract. methanol extract its hexane-, dichloromethane-, ethylacetate-, n-butanol- water-soluble phases derived were evaluated determine their inhibitory activity on nitric oxide (NO) production by RAW 264.7 cells stimulated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS). decreased...
Oxidative stress is closely related with inflammation and development of many diseases. Black soybean seed coat contains high amount anthocyanins, which are well-known for free radical scavenging activities. This study investigated inflammatory response action mechanism black anthocyanins regard to antioxidant activity in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells.RAW cells were treated extracted from coats a concentration range 12.5 100 µg/mL. The production reactive oxygen species...
The antioxidative effect of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) was examined by determining lipid peroxidation and enzyme activities. Male Sprague-Dawley rats were fed one the experimental diets-normal diet, vitamin E-deficient control 0.5% CLA or 1.5% diet for 5wk. Hepatic thiobarbituric reactive substances (TSARS) increased in group, but they significantly lowered groups. Similarly, hepatic glutathione peroxidase activity reduced supplementation. In addition, caused a significant decrease...
High-sodium and low-potassium intakes are interdependently linked to hypertension cardiovascular diseases. We investigated the associations of dietary sodium-to-potassium (Na/K) ratio with cardiometabolic risk factors in 12,996 Korean adults (≥30 years) from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey Ⅶ (2016–2018). Food intake was assessed through 24 h recall data. Participants were divided into thirds based on their Na/K ratio, mean molar ratios 1.11 (low), 1.92 (medium), 3.21 (high)....
Obesity-induced inflammation and insulin resistance are mediated by macrophage infiltration into adipose tissue. We investigated the effects of 7,8-dihydroxyflavone (7,8-DHF), a flavone found in plants, on inflammatory response induced interaction between adipocytes macrophages. Hypertrophied 3T3-L1 were cocultured with RAW 264.7 macrophages treated 7,8-DHF (3.12, 12.5, 50 μM). The cytokines free fatty acid (FFA) release evaluated assay kits, signaling pathways determined immunoblotting....
This study was designed to examine the effects of dietary n-3 and n-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) on postprandial lipid levels acid composition hepatic membranes. Male Sprague-Dawley rats were trained for a 3-h feeding protocol fed one five semipurified diets: fat-free diet or four diets supplemented with 10% (by weight) each corn oil, beef tallow, perilla fish oil. Two separate experiments performed, 4-wk long-term 4-d short-term models, compare periods. Postprandial plasma affected...
Two new acetylenic alcohols (1-2) and a dihydrothiopyranone (3) were isolated from the tropical sponge Reniochalina sp. Their structures determined by spectroscopic chemical methods to be (3R)-hydroxyoctatriacont-(4E)-en-1-yne (1), 5-hydroxyheptatriacont-(3Z)-en-1-yne (2) 2-hexadecyl-2,3-dihydrothiopyran-4-one (3). The alcohol (1) exhibited significant growth inhibitory effect against human tumor cell lines.
