A heterojunction photodiode with NIR photoresponse using solution processable pyrite FeS2 nanocrystal ink is demonstrated which has the advantages of earth-abundance and non-toxicity. The device consists a (NC) thin film sandwiched semiconducting metal oxides structure ITO/ZnO/FeS2 NC/MoO3/Au, exhibits an excellent spectral response extended to wavelengths up 1150 nm high photocurrent/dark current ratio 8000 at -1 V under AM1.5 illumination (100 mW cm−2).

Roasting plays important roles in shaping the volatile profile of oolong tea. In this study, sensory attributes and compositions 153 roasted or unroasted tea samples, belonging to four typical types, namely, High Mountain (HMT), Tieguanyin (TGYT), Dongding (DDT) Wuyi rock (WRT), were studied detail. Based on evaluation by experts, their respective profiles established compared. Unroasted teas had more pronounced fresh green flavors, while higher scores pungent caramel flavors. particular,...

Roasting is pivotal for enhancing the flavor of Wuyi rock tea (WRT). A study investigated a novel compound that enhances umami taste WRT. Metabolomics Shuixian (SXT) and Rougui (RGT) under light roasting (LR), medium (MR), heavy (HR) revealed significant differences in nonvolatiles compounds. Compared LR reducing sugars amino acids notably decreased MR HR, with l-alanine declining by 69%. Taste-guided fractionation identified fraction II–B as having high sweet intensities. surprising...

In this article, we have proposed a nanostructured photovoltaic device based on the ZnO nanostructures/poly(3-hexylthiophene)(P3HT):TiO2 nanorod hybrid by solution processes at low temperature. An array of nanorods with larger size ∼50 nm in diameter and ∼180 length are grown to provide direct pathways for efficient charge collection. TiO2 ∼5 ∼20–30 incorporated into polymers facilitate separation transport providing an increased interfacial area more effective pathway. The performance...

In traditional Chinese medicine, dried citrus fruit peels are widely used as remedies to alleviate coughs and reduce phlegm in the respiratory tract. Induction of inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) inflammatory cells increased airway production (NO) well recognized key events inflammation-related tract diseases. Despite fact that enhancing effect heat treatment on antioxidant activity has been documented, impact peel beneficial activities regarding anti-inflammation is unclear. To...

One newly bred variety of tea cultivar, purple-shoot tea, was selected to evaluate its antiproliferative effects on colorectal carcinoma cells, as well normal colon cells. The phytochemicals and identified catechins extract (PTE) were significantly higher than that ordinary especially the anthocyanins (surpassed by 135-fold) anthocyanidins 3.5-fold). PTE inhibited proliferation COLO 320DM (IC(50) = 64.9 μg/mL) HT-29 55.2 blocking cell cycle progression during G(0)/G(1) phase inducing...

Wuyi Rock tea, specifically Shuixian and Rougui, exhibits distinct sensory characteristics. In this study, we investigated the metabolite differences between Rougui. Quantitative description analysis revealed that Rougui exhibited higher intensity in bitter, thick, harsh, numb tastes, while had stronger salty umami tastes. Nontargeted metabolomics identified 151 compounds with 66 as key differential metabolites responsible for metabolic discrimination. Most of catechins flavonoids were...

Spermatozoa produced from spermatogonial stem cells (SSCs) are the vehicle by which genes of a male passed to next generation. A single SSC has ability self-renew and produce thousands spermatozoa; therefore, it is an ideal target for genetic modification efficiently generate transgenic animals in mammalian species. Rats important model organism biological research; however, gene function studies have been difficult because limited animals. Transgenic rat production through SSCs offers means...
