Eriobotrya japonica (Thunb.) Lindl., commonly known as loquat, is a plant belonging to the Rosaceae family. While its fruit widely consumed food and used in traditional medicine, research on other parts of remains insufficient. Therefore, chemical constituents biological activities leaves were investigated. Phytochemical analysis E. identified 30 compounds, including flavonoids, phenolics, megastigmanes. The flavonoids isolated from include flavones, flavans, flavolignans, flavonoid...

ABSTRACT Actinidia arguta (Siebold & Zucc.) Planch. ex Miq. is one of the major species genus and has distinct characteristics such as small size smooth-fruited. The fruits A. are rich in essential nutrients bioactive compounds. Due to their tolerance low temperatures, they can be cultivated Asia several varieties have been developed for better efficacy. Investigation through extensive chromatographic techniques yielded 22 flavonoid derivatives including new compound. compound,...

Actinidia arguta, commonly called hardy kiwifruit or kiwiberry, has cold-resistant properties and can be cultivated in Asia, including Korea. Seven new triterpenoids (2–4 8–11) along with eight known were isolated from the leaves of A. arguta through various chromatographic techniques. The defined as actiniargupenes A–C (2–4), actinidic acid derivatives phenylpropanoid constituent units, dehydroisoactinidic (8), D–F (9–11), asiatic substituents, on basis 1D 2D NMR MS data. Among...

Cordycepin is the major constituent of Cordyceps mushroom (or militaris) with therapeutic potential. Insects are direct sources nutrients for in nature. Therefore, optimized condition cultivation efficient cordycepin production was explored using six edible insects as substrates. The highest yield produced by on Allomyrina dichotoma and 34 times that Bombyx mori pupae. Among insect components, fat content found to be important production. Especially, a positive correlation deduced between...

As the leaf of Actinidia arguta has shown antioxidant activity, a study was conducted to identify active ingredients. Forty-eight compounds were isolated from leaves A. through various chromatographic techniques. Further characterization structures on basis 1D and 2D NMR MS data identified several aromatic compounds, including phenylpropanoid derivatives, phenolics, coumarins, flavonoids lignans. Among them, five newly reported, naturally occurring, named argutosides A–D (1–4), which consist...
