Glycoprotein D (gD) is a structural component of the herpes simplex virus (HSV) envelope which essential for entry into host cells. Chinese hamster ovary (CHO-K1) cells are one few cell types nonpermissive many HSV strains. However, when these transformed with gene herpesvirus mediator (HVEM), resulting cells, CHO-HVEM12, permissive strains, such as HSV-1(KOS). By virtue its four cysteine-rich pseudorepeats, HVEM member tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily proteins. Recombinant forms...

In human liver, we previously identified one isoform of dihydrodiol dehydrogenase activity that expresses high affinity bile acid binding (HBAB) with minimal 3 alpha-hydroxysteroid (3 alpha-HSD) for acids. This protein may assist in the rapid intracellular transport acids from sinusoidal to canalicular pole cell. We now report cDNA cloning and bacterial expression this novel, multifunctional protein. A 1252-base pair HBAB was cloned a HepG2 lambda GT11 library using rat hepatic binder probe....

Soluble forms of herpes simplex virus (HSV) glycoprotein D (gD) block viral penetration. Likewise, most HSV strains are sensitive to gD-mediated interference by cells expressing gD. The mechanism both inhibition is thought be at the receptor level. We analyzed ability different soluble, truncated gD (gDt) inhibit infection HSV-1 and HSV-2. Strains that were resistant also gDt, thereby suggesting a link between these two phenomena. Virion was major determinant for resistance gDt. An...

We previously characterized and cloned a unique human hepatic dihydrodiol dehydrogenase (DDH) that exhibits high affinity binding for bile acids (Stolz, A., Hammond, L., Lou, H., Takikawa, Ronk, M., Shively, J. E. (1993) Biol. Chem. 268, 10448-10457). This demonstrates significant sequence homology with the cytosolic rat acid binder 3 alpha-hydroxysteroid other members of monomeric oxidoreductase gene family. now report genomic organization chromosomal localization DDH in order to further...

Nowadays, autonomous cars can drive smoothly in ordinary cases, and it is widely recognized that realistic sensor simulation will play a critical role solving remaining corner cases by simulating them. To this end, we propose an driving simulator based upon neural radiance fields (NeRFs). Compared with existing works, ours has three notable features: (1) Instance-aware. Our models the foreground instances background environments separately independent networks so static (e.g., size...
