Abstract A modeling and simulation study along with economic analysis was carried out for arsenic separation by a membrane-integrated hybrid treatment system that consisted of an oxidation unit integrated cross flow nanofiltration membrane module. About 96–98% removal efficiency achieved in the module after pre-oxidation. When pH increased from 3 to 10, rejections reached as high 98.5%. The dynamic mathematical model developed used Extended Nernst-Plank equation basis model. linearized...

The joining of bimetallic trinuclear nodes, [(CuL1)2Cd] (where H2L1 = N,N′-bis(α-methylsalicylidene)-1,3-propanediamine) by a spacer, 4,4′-benzenedicarboxylic acid (H2L2), produced two isomeric one-dimensional coordination polymers, having molecular formula {[(CuL1)2CdL2]·H2O}n. Structural characterization revealed that, in complex 1, one the oxygen atoms each carboxylate group linker [L2]2– coordinates only to central Cd(II) atom node η1 fashion. However, 2, both coordinate metal centers,...

The current work focuses on the basic principle of voltage-induced electrowetting and relevant movement microfluidic droplets. prototype devices are fabricated Teflon-on-flexible substrate. Three different liquid droplets, namely, de-ionized (DI) water, sucrose (aq.) solution, eugenol, have been studied for such purpose within voltage range 1–16 V. Electrowetting subsequent changes in contact angle extensively investigated with modification “work adhesion” cohesion” upon application external...

Abstract The impedance, capacitance and conductance of deionized water-glucose polar solution is measured by employing impedance spectroscopy a quasi-oscillatory nature variation with glucose content in the observed. Such attributed to randomly distributed water-water, glucose-glucose dipole interactions at molecular level solution. A relevant analytical model developed on basis such random distribution dipoles experimental data agree well those obtained from theoretical model. electrical...

An elevated level of creatinine (CRN) is a mark kidney ailment, and prolonged retention such condition could lead to renal failure, associated with severe ischemia. Antioxidants are clinically known excrete CRN from the body through urine, thereby reducing its in blood. The molecular mechanism an exclusion process still illusive. As excretion channel solvation solute expected play pivotal role. Here, we report detailed time-domain frequency-domain terahertz (THz) spectroscopic investigation...
