Abstract Flonicamid (IKI220; N ‐cyanomethyl‐4‐trifluoromethylnicotinamide), a pyridinecarboxamide compound, is novel systemic insecticide with selective activity against hemipterous pests, such as aphids and whiteflies, thysanopterous pests. The purpose of this study to clarify the biological properties flonicamid aphids. very active aphids, regardless differences in species, stages morphs. This compound inhibited feeding behaviour within 0.5 h treatment without noticeable poisoning symptoms...
PURPOSE Adjuvant anti–PD-1 (adj PD-1) antibodies are extensively used to improve survival in patients with resected melanoma. Clinical trials on adj PD-1 have revealed significant improvements recurrence-free (RFS); however, few of these included acral melanoma (AM). METHODS data were retrospectively collected from Japanese who underwent resection stage III sole AM between 2014 and 2021. Survival outcomes, including RFS, distant metastasis-free (DMFS), overall (OS), compared without adjuvant...
Purpose: Catamenial pneumothorax (CP) is classified as thoracic endometriosis syndrome. There are few reports of CP, and the clinical manifestations this disease unclear. The aim present study to clarify features CP.Methods: pathological files 92 female patients pathologically diagnosed with included in study. data findings recurrent non-recurrent groups compared. Results: Thirty-six (39.1%) experienced recurrence, 37 (40.2%) did not, 19 (20.4) could not be evaluated. ratio endometrial gland...
A major pathogenic factor for catamenial pneumothorax is thoracic endometriosis. However, endometriosis-related (TERP) can develop as either or non-catamenial (CP). Therefore, the aim of this study was to elucidate clinical differences between and TERP.The pathological data in female patients who underwent video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery at Pneumothorax Research Center during an 8-year period were retrospectively reviewed. This included 150 with surgico-pathologically confirmed TERP....
Pneumonia is a major cause of death in patients with schizophrenia. Preventive strategies based on identifying the risk factors are needed to reduce pneumonia-related mortality. This study aimed clarify for pneumonia schizophrenia. We retrospectively reviewed clinical files consecutive schizophrenia admitted Tokyo Metropolitan Matsuzawa Hospital during four-year period from January 2014 December 2017. We analyzed differences between and without pneumonia.Of 2209 enrolled, 101 (4.6%) received...
Objective We herein assessed the utility of computed tomography (CT) for diagnosis and ascertainment severity community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) in elderly. Methods The CT compared with chest radiography (CR) CAP was prospectively studied among elderly inpatients clinical symptoms signs indicative at Department Respiratory Medicine Nissan Tamagawa Hospital during one-year period from January 2013 to December 2013. Additionally, we evaluated whether findings were useful as predictive factors...
Previous trials with various treatments have not shown satisfactory therapeutic results for cutaneous metastasis of malignant melanoma (MM). We report three patients who were treated peritumoral injection interferon (IFN)-beta multiple skin metastases MM. The metastatic tumours infiltrated by significant numbers CD8+ TIA+ cytotoxic lymphocytes, and the CD4+ cells human leucocyte antigen-DR+ increased after IFN-beta injection. These suggest that administration enhanced antitumour immune...
Regulatory T cells (Tregs), identified by the expression of CD4, CD25 and Foxp3, together with immunosuppressive macrophages, such as CD163+ M2 are involved in maintaining peripheral tolerance. The aim this study was to elucidate involvement Tregs macrophages invasive non-invasive extramammary Paget´´s disease. presence CD4+CD25+Foxp3+ Tregs, matrix metalloproteinase-9+ examined immunohistologically fixed sections lesional skin from 10 patients Paget´s disease 7 Fewer were observed than In...
Primary spontaneous pneumothorax is believed to result from blebs, or other abnormalities of the pleural surface. There no consensus as whether a change in weather conditions can precipitate pneumothorax. The aim present study was investigate influence on onset primary pneumothorax. The case histories 1051 inpatients with treated at Nissan Tamagawa Hospital between January 2006 and December 2011 were analyzed retrospectively. Data collected daily throughout 6-year period. data determine...
Thoracic endometriosis is a rare disease responsible for catamenial pneumothorax. The immunohistochemical features of thoracic are not well understood. An examination 84 diaphragmatic specimens pneumothorax using antibodies against estrogen receptor (ER), progesterone (PgR), CD10 and smooth muscle actin (SMA) was conducted. endometrial tissue small, focally located around the chasm tendon on side cavity. Endometrial stroma were detected in 84/84 (100%) specimens, glands 21/84 (25%) 1/84...
Abstract Because nivolumab significantly prolongs survival in patients with metastatic melanoma, enhancing its antitumor immune response is of great interest to dermato‐oncologists. In this report, we describe two cases melanoma successfully treated combination contact immunotherapy, using sensitizing agents, such as squaric acid dibutylester and diphencyprone. addition, immunohistochemical staining supported one the possible mechanisms therapy. Our present suggested a therapy for immunotherapy.
The efficacy of nivolumab is greater than that other anti-melanoma drugs, so nivolumab-based combined therapies enhance anti-tumor immune responses in patients with metastatic melanoma are great interest to dermato-oncologists. As we have previously reported, IFN-β enhances the response anti-PD-1 antibodies against B16F10 vivo. To explore potential this property as part a combination therapy for treatment patients, performed phase 1 trial, using traditional rule-based 3 + design, on advanced...
Birt-Hogg-Dubé syndrome (BHDS) is a rare hereditary disease that presents with multiple lung cysts and pneumothorax (PTX). Although some reports propose findings from chest computed tomography enable one to distinguish BHDS primary spontaneous (PSP), it still unclear whether clinical features are useful for identifying patients suspicion of those PTX.We retrospectively reviewed the medical records PTX who underwent video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery at Nissan Tamagawa Hospital January 2012...
An imbalance of immunosuppressive and cytotoxic cells plays an important role in inhibiting the anti-tumor immune response tumor-bearing host. The purpose this study was to elucidate involvement cells, such as regulatory T CD163+ M2 macrophages well granulysin-bearing TIA-1+ cutaneous angiosarcoma (AS) by immunohistochemical staining. In addition we evaluated potencies bisphosphonate, which previously reported suppress expression matrix metalloproteinase 9 (MMP-9), a supportive therapy for...
Eccrine porocarcinoma is a rare type of skin cancer that originates from eccrine sweat glands or acrosyringium and mainly occurs in the elderly. In this report, we describe an 85-year-old Japanese woman with metastasized to cervical lymph node who was cured CyberKnife radiosurgery. Because our patient had high risk perioperative complication, standard surgical therapy wide margin impractical. Our present study suggests novel possibility using for treatment inoperable metastatic porocarcinoma.
