Microglial activation-mediated neuroinflammation plays an important role in the progression of neurodegenerative diseases. Inflammatory activation microglial cells is often accompanied by a metabolic switch from oxidative phosphorylation to aerobic glycolysis. However, roles and molecular mechanisms glycolysis are not yet fully understood. The anti-inflammatory effects its underlying glycolytic inhibition vitro were examined lipopolysaccharide (LPS) activated BV-2 or primary enzyme-linked...
Various functional biodegradable polymers were readily prepared based on novel cyclic carbonate monomers, acryloyl (AC) and methacryloyl (MAC), by combining ring-opening polymerization (ROP) Michael-type conjugate addition. AC MAC monomers synthesized in four straightforward steps from 1,1,1-tris(hydroxymethyl)ethane with good overall yields (ca. 40%). able to copolymerize ε-caprolactone (ε-CL) d,l-lactide (LA) toluene at 110 °C using stannous octoate as a catalyst, yielding copolymers...
Background: Efferocytosis of apoptotic neurons by macrophages is essential for the resolution inflammation and neuronal protection from secondary damage. It known that alteration Sigma-1 receptor (Sig-1R) involved in pathological development some neurological diseases, including ischemic stroke. The present study aimed to investigate whether how Sig-1R regulates phagocytic activity macrophages/microglia its significance neuroprotection function Methods: roles efferocytosis...
The aim of this research was to study S-ovalbumin as a reference index for the freshness commercial shell eggs in terms equivalent egg age. content, yolk index, albumen pH, and Haugh units were determined at storage temperature 25 37°C, respectively, using 85 fresh-laid eggs. A correlation analysis showed high coefficient content time well 3 frequently used indices (Haugh unit, pH). Furthermore, prediction model age 25°C established an on basis analysis. This confirmed possibility express
Alterations of Ariadne RBR E3 Ubiquitin Protein Ligase 1 (ARIH1), a human homologue Drosophila Ari, have been associated with number diseases. Given the importance ubiquitin-proteasome system in learning and memory, whether ARIH1 involves process has not explored. Here we report that ARIH1-deficent mice exhibited defect memory evidenced Morris water maze novel object recognition tests without changes basal motor activity, anxiety, depressive behaviors. We found deficiency resulted an...
Abstract Chemoresistance remains a major challenge for the treatment of glioma. In this study, we investigated role Clock 1 (Clk1), which encodes an enzyme that is necessary ubiquinone biosynthesis in glioma chemoresistance vitro . The results showed Clk1 was highly expressed GL261 mouse cells were most sensitive to 1,3Bis (2‐chloroethyl) nitrosourea (BCNU) while low BCNU resistant such as cancer stem cells, T98G, U87MG and U251 cells. Knockdown GL 261 significantly reduced ‐ or...
RPB5-mediating protein (RMP) is associated with the RNA polymerase II subunit RPB5. RMP functionally counteracts transcriptional activation of hepatitis B virus X that has been shown to play a role in development hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However, effect on growth HCC remains unclear. In this study, we characterized potential proliferation human cells using two cell lines, SMMC-7721 and HepG2. We found expression increased when were treated (60)Co γ-irradiation. Cell colony formation...
Abstract Tumor‐associated microglial cells promote glioma growth, invasion, and chemoresistance by releasing inflammatory factors. Milk fat globule EGF factor 8 protein (MFG‐E8), a secreted glycoprotein, is closely related to tissue homeostasis anti‐inflammation. In the present study, we investigated role of MFG‐E8 in polarization progression vitro vivo . We found that secrete comparable amounts culture media astrocytes. Recombinant triggered microglia express M2 markers, such as arginase‐1...
A novel class of bionanocomposites based on monodisperse microparticles containing metal nanoparticles including Au, Pd, Ag and Pt were synthesized characterized using a simple efficient approach.
Macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) is a pleiotropic pro-inflammatory mediator that involved in the progression of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Previously, we demonstrated small molecule compound 3-[(biphenyl-4-ylcarbonyl) carbamothioyl] amino benzoic acid (Z-590) could inhibit MIF activity with docking-based virtual screening and experimental evaluation. The LPS activated RAW264.7 macrophage cells were used to determine anti-inflammatory effects Z-590 vitro. A rat adjuvant-induced...
Abstract Substance use disorder remains a major challenge, with an enduring need to identify and evaluate new, translational targets for effective treatment. Here, we report the upregulation of Hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α) expression by roxadustat (Rox), drug developed renal anemia that inhibits HIF prolyl hydroxylase prevent degradation HIF-1α, administered either systemically or locally into selected brain regions, suppressed morphine (Mor)-induced conditioned place preference...
Heterologous sensitization of adenylyl cyclase (AC) results in elevated cAMP signaling transduction that contributes to drug dependence. Inhibiting cullin3-RING ligases by blocking the neddylation cullin3 abolishes heterologous sensitization, however, modulating mechanism remains uncharted. Here, we report an essential role potassium channel tetramerization domain (KCTD) protein 2, 5, and 17, especially dominant isoform KCTD5 regulating AC1 morphine dependence via working with...
Elongator complex has been associated with hyperphosphorylated RNA polymerase II and is known to play critical roles in transcriptional elongation, as well tRNA modification exocytosis. However, the specific mechanism of how human regulates cell growth cycle remains unclear. To investigate composition its effects on growth, 293T cells were established that stably overexpressed Flag-Elp3 Flag-Elp4. By using anti-Flag M2 antibody-bound resin, a core was purified from Flag-Elp3. No transfected...
