In this study, the sera collected from a variety of mammalian species (ass-mules, cat, cattle, dog, horse, human and sheep) in 10 representative provinces Turkey, were surveyed for presence neutralizing antibodies to West Nile virus (WNV). Overall, 1 40 (2.5%) ass-mules, 4 100 (4%) 43 114 (37.7%) dogs, 35 259 (13.5%) horses, 18 88 (20.4%) humans (1%) sheep, tested positive WNV-neutralizing antibodies. The results indicate that wide range mammals are exposed Nile-related could contribute...
Forty pestivirus isolates sampled from cattle in Turkey between 2002 and 2007 were characterized according to 5′ untranslated region (5′UTR) sequences autoprotease (Npro) gene sequences. The sampling of Bovine virus diarrhoea viruses (BVDVs) 15 farms five different regions indicated that BVDV 1-l (18/40, 45%) was the predominant genotype Turkey; samples also contained genotypes 1-f (10/40, 25%), 1-b (7/40, 17.5%), 1-d (3/40, 7.5%), 1-a (2/40, 5%), respectively.
The purpose of this study was to detect antibodies against Bovine Viral Diarrhea Virus (BVDV) in blood and milk serum samples. With aim, a total 192 samples were collected from unvaccinated Holstein cows Kars district Turkey. Blood tested determine the presence BVDV by commercial indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). In study, while 172 (89.58%) found be positive for antibodies, 161 (83.85%) positive. addition, 150 (78.12%) both same cattle antibodies. Only 22 (11.45%) detected...
In this study, the physical examination of 22 cattle revealed clinical signs malignant catarrhal fever (MCF). Peripheral blood leukocyte (PBL) samples cattle, and nasal (n = 7) conjunctival 9) swab from 16 sheep two different farms, were taken for laboratory examination. The diagnosis MCF in cows was confirmed by detection ovine herpesvirus type 2 (OvHV-2) DNA polymerase chain reaction (PCR). OvHV-2 detected nested-PCR PBL one cow with (1/7)-conjunctival(1/9) housed same barn. According to...
This study is a serological and virological examination of the border disease virus (BDV) in sheep at 1–5 years age from private small scale production units less than 20 per unit, Kars District Turkey. For this purpose, blood sera 460 were tested for antibodies against BDV using commercial enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Since causes persistent infection, antigen-ELISA was also performed agent. Seropositivity rate detected to be 74.57%. In addition, antigen one sample...
The purpose of this study was to identify the presence Bovine Herpes Virus-1 (BoHV-1), Virus-4 (BoHV-4) and Viral Diarrhea Virus (BVDV) in tissue aborted ruminant fetuses using molecular methods. Therefore, internal organ samples (lung, liver spleen, total n=48) were collected from abortions (10 lambs 12 calves) small-scale family operations province Kars, Turkey. BoHV-1 BoHV-4 nucleic acids investigated with polymerase chain reaction (PCR) specific for Glycoprotein C (gC) B (gB) gene...
The aim of this study was to investigate paraoxonase (PON1) activity and total sialic acid be measured for the first time in sheep infected naturally with foot mouth disease, their relationships oxidative stress. A 30 Awassi (aged between 2–4), which were healthy disease virus (FMDV) used study. Concentrations (PON1), is an important antioxidant against stress, high density lipoprotein (HDL) (TSA), has a critical role immune system one significant indicators cellular degeneration, serum...
In this study, it was aimed to investigate the association between inflammatory reaction of tumoral microenvironments with interleukin responses in ovine pulmonary adenocarcinomas (OPAs). Material study consisted 26 sheep lung tissue samples being brought Pathology Department for routine diagnosis. Cases were collected years 2009 - 2021; pre-diagnosis based on clinical symptoms, anamnesis and gross lesion lungs. These tissues designated two groups as control (n = 6) OPA 20) groups. Choice...
O vine rinderpest (Peste des Petits Ruminants, PPR) is an acute or subacute viral disease in domesticated and wild ruminants, especially sheep goats, that economically significant, has high mortality morbidity rates characterized by fever, loss of appetite, nasal flow serous the beginning mucopurulent advanced stages, hemorrhage erosions mucous tongue, lips, palate, stomatitis, conjunctivitis, diarrhea bronchopneumonia (Baron et al., 2011; Albina 2013).The PPR virus part Morbillivirus genus...
In this study, serological and molecular research was conducted on the Rotavirus infection in domestic breeds of sheep at 2–3 years age. The included study were raised small scale family units less than 20 per unit, central Kars province its districts (Susuz, Arpaçay, Kagizman Selim) Northeast Anatolia region Turkey. blood fecal samples collected randomly from 450 sheep. They analyzed for presence antibody against virus using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). highest seropositive...
Abstract Background In the last 25 years, introduction of biological therapies has been a significant milestone in management inflammatory bowel diseases. Despite recent emergence new and small molecules, Anti-TNF agents still play crucial role treatment. number countries, anti-TNF are reimbursed as first line treatment following either failure or intolerance to conventional such thiopurines aminosalycilates. Many studies have conducted previously compare efficacy these drugs, but clear...
Abstract Background After the approval of vedolizumab and ustekinumab for treatment IBD, discussions continue regarding prioritization which drug will be used as first-line treatment. Despite numerous studies in various indications on this matter, there is still no definitive information. It known that success treatments decreases after use Anti-TNF first step. In study, we aimed to compare persistence rates second-line Crohn's patients with prior experience Anti-TNF. Methods A total 171...

Bovine rotaviruses cause loss of calves and great financial losses to breeders. rotaviruses, which are classified in the Reovirales order, Sedoreoviridae family Rotavirus genus, mostly as G P genotypes according VP7 VP4 gene regions. In addition, 10 different species (group A-J) have been identified genetic antigenic properties another major antigen, VP6. Group A most common diarrhea calves, while group B C infections also known. For protection rotavirus screening should be performed on a...
Schmallenberg virus (SBV) infection is an infectious disease transmitted by stinging and blood-sucking flies in Culicoides sp. characterised fever, anorexia, decreased milk yield, loss of condition, abortion birth offspring with arthrogryposis hydranencephaly syndrome. The aim this study was to determine the prevalence presence SBV sheep private enterprises Kars province. For purpose, blood serum samples were taken from 376 (301 females + 75 males) healthy-looking Akkaraman males), which...
Bu çalışmada, Iğdır ilinde yetiştirilen Morkaraman ırkı atık yapmış ve Brucella Spp. yönünden negatif koyunlarda, Schmallenberg virus enfeksiyonu varlığının indirekt ELISA yöntemi ile ortaya konulması amaçlanmıştır. amaçla; ırkı, abort 2-6 yaş arasındaki toplam 180 adet koyundan alınan kan örneği değerlendirilmiştir. Etken, virusuna spesifik antikorların tespit edildiği (IDEXX Ab Test®, IDEXX, Switzerland) Araştırmada incelenen 7 (% 3,88) tanesi şüpheli 8 de 4,4) seropozitif olarak...
