Abstract Peste des petits ruminants virus (PPRV, genus Morbillivirus), which causes a severe disease in sheep and goats, has only recently been officially declared to be present Turkey. We carried out study determine the prevalence, distribution, host range of PPRV A total 1,607 animals, reared 18 different locations, were monitored for presence antibodies related large ruminants, Rinderpest (RPV). Only two farms had animals that free antibody responses either disease. Prevalence infection...

West Nile fever is an important zoonotic infection caused by virus (WNV), a member of the Flaviviridae. Previous serological data from Turkey suggest widespread WNV circulation. This report includes cases human and equine infections occurring concurrently, manifesting as central nervous system infections, in two neighboring provinces Central Anatolia, Turkey. A partial phylogenetic analysis causative given for first time. The were reported February (horses) March (human). Symptoms disease...

Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever virus (CCHFV) is the causative agent of a tick-borne infection with significant mortality rate up to 40% in endemic areas, evidence geographical expansion. Due lack effective therapeutics and control measures, development protective CCHFV vaccine remains crucial public health task. This paper describes, for first time, Bovine herpesvirus type 4 (BoHV-4)-based viral vector (BoHV4-∆TK-CCHFV-N) its immunogenicity BALB/c protection potential IFNα/β/γR−/− mice...

Forty pestivirus isolates sampled from cattle in Turkey between 2002 and 2007 were characterized according to 5′ untranslated region (5′UTR) sequences autoprotease (Npro) gene sequences. The sampling of Bovine virus diarrhoea viruses (BVDVs) 15 farms five different regions indicated that BVDV 1-l (18/40, 45%) was the predominant genotype Turkey; samples also contained genotypes 1-f (10/40, 25%), 1-b (7/40, 17.5%), 1-d (3/40, 7.5%), 1-a (2/40, 5%), respectively.

A calicivirus was detected in neonatal calves with enteritis Kırklareli, Thrace, Turkey. In the full-length genome, Kırklareli virus related (48% nucleotide identity) to bovine enteric caliciviruses (Nebovirus genus). The also a herd Ankara, Central Anatolia, but not other Turkish prefectures.

Canine adenoviruses are agents responsible for two different infections in Canidae. While canine adenovirus type 1 (CAV-1) causes contagious hepatitis (HCC) dogs, 2 (CAV-2) is infectious laryngotracheitis (ILT).CAV-2, especially the respiratory tract, leads to an infection that can result death young and cohabitant animals. In public housing such as shelters, addition opportunistic infections, a disorder defined disease (CIRD) may also occur frequently. In this study, 155 nasal swabs were...

Forty cows between day 1 and 21 post-calving were examined for the presence of postpartum metritis in a dairy herd that had recently experienced an increase previously tested positive against bovine herpes virus 4 (BoHV-4) by various methods. Antibodies BoHV-4 detected sera from 15 22 cows. For virological study, uterine swab samples with used using polymerase chain reaction (PCR), isolation (VI), immunofluorescence techniques. Twenty-two point seven per cent (5/22) vaginal discharge...

Numerous viruses, including bovine viral diarrhoea virus (BVDV), herpes 1 (BoHV-1) and 4 (BoHV-4), other pathogens are the most common causes of reproductive disorders responsible for huge economic losses in livestock production. This study investigates aetiological role BoHV-4 fertility problems such as abortions, stillbirth birth with unviable calves. Retrospective samples from 38 animals, 17 aborting cows, aborted foetuses, three stillborn calves one newborn calf were analysed. The genome...

Blood serum samples obtained from 368 serodiagnosis infection. Of samples, 256 (69.6%) found positive BoHV4 specific antibodies.
