Light-emitting supramolecular coordination complexes (SCCs) have been widely studied for applications in the chemical and biological sciences. Herein, we report coordination-driven self-assembly of two highly emissive platinum(II) triangles (1 2) containing BODIPY-based bridging ligands. The metallacycles exhibit favorable anticancer activities against HeLa cells (IC50 6.41 2.11 μM). characteristic ∼570 nm fluorescence boron dipyrromethene (BODIPY) moieties permits their intracellular...
Perovskite (PVSK) photovoltaic (PV) devices are undergoing rapid development and have reached a certified power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 26.1% at the cell level. Tremendous efforts in material device engineering also increased moisture, heat, light-related stability. Moreover, solution-process nature makes fabrication process perovskite feasible compatible with some mature high-volume manufacturing techniques. All these features render solar modules (PSMs) suitable for terawatt-scale...
Four phosphorescent dinuclear Pd–Pd complexes were synthesized by using the clamping ligand N,N′-diphenylformamidine and primary ligands of C∧N, which both have high field strength to enhance luminescence complexes. The single-crystal data confirmed their clamshell structures revealed distances between 2.829 2.864 Å. In addition, time-dependent density functional theory calculations nature metal–metal-to-ligand charge transfer ligand-to-ligand in these Moreover, 3 4 used fabricate an OLED a...
Bottom-up construction of efficient active sites in transition metal-nitrogen-carbon (M-N-C) catalysts for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) from single molecular building blocks remains one the most difficult challenges. Herein, we report a bottom-up approach to produce highly Cu-N4-C catalyst with well-defined Cu-N4 coordination derived small copper complex containing moieties. The moieties were found be covalently integrated into graphene sheets create ORR. Furthermore, activity was boosted...
We have developed a new metal- and oxidant-free method for the synthesis of anticancer thiosulfonates via sulfonylation thiols.
We have developed electrochemically enabled chemoselective sulfonylation and hydrazination of C2,C3-unsubstituted indoles with arylsulfonyl hydrazide.
The enantioselective synthesis of axially chiral biaryls by a copper-catalyzed Diels–Alder/retro-Diels–Alder reaction 2-pyrones with alkynes is reported herein. Using electron-deficient and electron-rich 1-naphthyl acetylenes as the partners, broad range biaryl esters are obtained in excellent yields (up to 97% yield) enantioselectivities >99% ee). DFT calculations reveal mechanism provide insights into origins stereoselectivities. practicality robustness this showcased gram-scale synthesis....
We report herein an efficient approach for the enantioselective synthesis of inherently chiral calix[4]arenes via palladium-catalyzed asymmetric intramolecular C–H arylations. Using a bifunctional phosphine-carboxylate ligand, inherent chirality on macrocyclic scaffolds was induced successfully, from which wide range with fluorenone motifs were obtained good yields and excellent enantioselectivities (up to >99% ee). The synthetic utility this method demonstrated by diverse transformations...
Styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) modified asphalt has been used in many road projects for its good performance at high and low temperatures. However, there was no final conclusion whether SBS could change the chemical structure of binders. The objective this study to analyze impact on molecular agglomeration behavior binders by means simulation techniques. Two types modifiers (SBS, MAH-g-SBS) were added into two models. Results show that three all have is largely dependent asphaltenes. with...
Abstract Developing high electroactivity ruthenium (Ru)‐based electrocatalysts for pH‐universal hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) is challenging due to the strong bonding strengths of key Ru─H/Ru─OH intermediates and sluggish water dissociation rates on active Ru sites. Herein, a semi‐ionic F‐modified N‐doped porous carbon implanted with nanoclusters (Ru/FNPC) introduced by hydrogel sealing‐pyrolying‐etching strategy toward highly efficient generation. Benefiting from synergistic effects...
Here, we describe a cooperative Pd(0)/chiral phosphoric acid catalytic system that allows us to realize the first chemo-, regio-, and enantioselective sequential cross-[4 + 2]-cycloaddition/decarboxylation reaction between 2-pyrones unactivated acyclic 1,3-dienes. The key success of this transformation is utilization an achiral N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) as ligand newly developed chiral cocatalyst. Experimental investigations computational studies support idea Pd(0)/NHC complex acts...
Background Induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) are a novel candidate for use in cardiac cell therapy. However, their intrinsic tumorigenicity requires further investigation prior to clinical setting. In this study we investigated whether undifferentiated iPSCs tumorigenic after intramyocardial transplantation into immunocompetent allogeneic recipients. Methodology/Principal Findings We transplanted 2×104, 2×105, or 2×106 from the established rat iPSC line M13 intramyocardially intact...
In this preliminary study, we aimed to investigate the abnormalities of water diffusion in children with temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE). Eight unilateral TLE (according electroencephalography, EEG) and eight age‐ sex‐matched controls were recruited. Diffusion tensor imaging (DTI)/diffusional kurtosis (DKI) acquisitions performed. Radial diffusivity ( λ ⊥ ), axial ∥ mean (MD) fractional anisotropy (FA) maps calculated for both DTI DKI, radial K ) (MK) DKI only. Mann–Whitney test showed that,...
Herein, we show that the combination of Birch reduction readily available anisole derivatives and catalytic asymmetric inverse-electron-demand Diels-Alder reaction 2-pyrones can serve as a powerful platform for diverse synthesis synthetically important cis-decalin scaffolds. Enabled by well-modified chiral bis(oxazoline) ligand/CuII complex, wide range polysubstituted scaffolds with up to six contiguous stereocenters were generated efficiently. The synthetic potential this method is...
