In order to determine the potential of Cerrado plants as sources antimicrobial activity, phytochemical screening ethanol extracts from Virola surinamensis, Qualea grandiflora, Alchornea castaneifolia, Hancornia speciosa and Curatella americana traditionally used in folk medicine are reported.
