The behavior of the $\mathrm{DX}$ center in ${\mathrm{Al}}_{x}{\mathrm{Ga}}_{1\ensuremath{-}x}\mathrm{As} (x\ensuremath{\sim}0.6)$ doped with Si and Se was investigated through photo-Hall measurements. simultaneous existence shallow (metastable) deep levels has been proven by observation persistent photoconductivity (PPC) whose questioned previously indirect-gap region this alloy. observed PPC is much smaller magnitude than that for $x\ensuremath{\sim}0.3$, but found to be a simple...
Age-related decline in skeletal muscle mass and function are risk factors for reduced walking ability. This study aimed to understand the characteristic gait parameters of presarcopenia (low only), dynapenia sarcopenia function), which have differing characteristics. Skeletal mass, grip strength, (walking speed, cadence, step length, width, angle, foot stance time, swing double time) were evaluated 307 older Japanese women. Low was determined by strength normal speed. Participants assessed...
Most older adults wish to maintain independence in their familiar communities. However, many experience pain and pain-related disabilities which reduce health-related quality of life (HRQOL), leading increased hospitalizations mortality. This study aimed determine the impact physical, mental, cognitive factors, particularly central sensitization-related symptoms (CSS), on HRQOL community-dwelling adults. A total 206 participants were included analysis, measured HRQOL, basic attributes,...
The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors causing falling among patients with schizophrenia hospitalized in psychiatric hospitals.[Subjects and Methods] subjects were divided into either those having experienced a fall within past one year (Fall group, 12 patients) not (Non-fall 7 patients), we examined differences between two groups.Assessment items measured included muscle strength, balance ability, flexibility, body composition assessment, Global Assessment Functioning scale...
The $^{12}\mathrm{C}$(\ensuremath{\gamma},${\mathit{p}}_{0+1}$${)}^{11}$B differential cross section has been measured for tagged-photon energies of ${\mathit{E}}_{\ensuremath{\gamma}}$=44--98 MeV, at laboratory angles 30\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}, 45\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}, 65\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}, and 90\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}. Comparison made with four different types calculation. Results from similar calculations the photoneutron channel...
The purpose of this study was to examine the circulatory-respiratory dynamics in elderly people during Tai Chi Yuttari-exercise. subjects were females with an average age 74 years who had been continuously practicing Yuttari-exercise for at least six months. heart rate and blood pressure measured before after performed four different versions perceived exertion evaluated using Borg scale. respiratory rate, oxygen uptake quotient (RQ) expired gas analyzer. results showed increase exercise,...
This study investigated the relationship between subjective grip strength and physical function in community-dwelling older women. Subjective was assessed using a questionnaire, body composition were compared groups with strong weak strength. Additionally, two those mild cognitive impairment (MCI) normal function, respectively. The results showed significant differences (p < 0.001), 30 s chair–stand (CS-30) test = 0.039), timed up-and-go (TUG) 0.027), maximal gait speed 0.029), skeletal...
Subjective cognitive complaints (SCCs) are a crucial modifiable risk factor for dementia. There is increasing interest in the association between SCC and sleep disturbance; however, effects of disturbance on development among community-dwelling elderly individuals Japan remain unclear. We aimed to cross-sectionally investigate disturbance, with adjustment multiple factors related decline, 241 persons without impairment. The measures were SCCs (Kihon Checklist-Cognitive Function, KCL-CF),...
[Purpose] There is insufficient evidence related to exercise programs that are safe and efficacious for pregnant women with abnormal glucose metabolism. Tai Chi Yuttari-exercise an program validated safety efficacy in improving physical function the elderly. In this study, we investigated program's inhibitory effects on plasma elevation when it was adapted a pregnancy model. [Subjects Methods] Twelve 18- 19-year-old females without history of were randomly assorted into two groups:...
