Mpox has spread rapidly to many countries in nonendemic regions. After reviewing detailed exposure histories of 109 pairs mpox cases the Netherlands, we identified 34 where transmission was likely and infectee reported a single potential infector with mean serial interval 10.1 days (95% credible interval, 6.6-14.7 days). Further investigation into from 1 regional public health service revealed that presymptomatic may have occurred 5 18 pairs. These findings emphasize precaution remains key,...

Source and contact tracing (SCT) is a core public health measure that used to contain the spread of infectious diseases. It aims identify source infection, advise those who have been exposed this source. Due rapid increases in incidence COVID-19 Netherlands, capacity conduct full SCT quickly became insufficient. Therefore, services (PHS) might benefit from restricted strategy targeted geographical regions where (predicted) case-to-case transmission high. In study, we set out develop...

SUMMARY We investigated the positive predictive value (PPV) of a solitary immunoglobulin M (IgM) phase II response for serodiagnosis acute Q fever detected with either an indirect immunofluorescence assay (IFA) or enzyme-linked immunosorbent (ELISA). Initial and follow-up sera from patients suspected were included if initially only IgM tested IFA in 2008 ( n =92), ELISA 2009 =85). A seroconversion was defined as initial sample being IgG negative but sample. The PPV isolated result by 65%...
