Atomic masses of the neutron-rich isotopes (76-80)Zn, (78-83)Ga, (80-85)Ge, (81-87)As, and (84-89)Se have been measured with high precision using Penning trap mass spectrometer JYFLTRAP at IGISOL facility. The (82,83)Ga, (83-85)Ge, (84-87)As, 89Se were for first time. These new data represent a major improvement in knowledge this region. Two-neutron separation energies provide evidence reduction N=50 shell gap energy towards germanium (Z=32) subsequent increase gallium (Z=31). are compared...

The masses of very neutron-deficient nuclides close to the astrophysical rp- and νp-process paths have been determined with Penning trap facilities JYFLTRAP at JYFL/Jyväskylä SHIPTRAP GSI/Darmstadt. Isotopes from yttrium (Z=39) palladium (Z=46) produced in heavy-ion fusion-evaporation reactions. In total, 21 were studied, almost half mass values experimentally for first time: 88Tc, 90−92Ru, 92−94Rh, 94,95Pd. For 95Pdm, (21/2+) high-spin state, a direct determination was performed. The β feeding probability of Tc102,104,105,106,107, Mo105, and Nb101 nuclei, which are important contributors to the decay heat in nuclear reactors, has been measured using total absorption technique. We have coupled for first time a spectrometer Penning trap order obtain sources very high isobaric purity. The masses of neutron-rich $^{106\ensuremath{-}112}\mathrm{Tc}$, $^{106\ensuremath{-}115}\mathrm{Ru}$, $^{108\ensuremath{-}118}\mathrm{Rh}$, and $^{112\ensuremath{-}120}\mathrm{Pd}$ produced in proton-induced fission uranium were determined using the JYFLTRAP double Penning trap setup. measured isotopic chains include a number previously unmeasured nuclei. Typical precisions on order 10 keV or better achieved, representing factor improvement over earlier data. In many cases, significant...

For the first time, in-gas-cell laser spectroscopy study of (57,59,63,65)Cu isotopes has been performed using 244.164 nm optical transition from atomic ground state copper. The nuclear magnetic dipole moments for (57,59,65)Cu relative to that (63)Cu have extracted. new value (57)Cu mu((57)Cu) = +2.582(7)mu(N) is in strong disagreement with previous literature but good agreement recent theoretical and systematic predictions.

A multi-reflection time-of-flight mass spectrograph, competitive with Penning trap spectrometers, has been built at RIKEN. We have performed a first online measurement, using 8Li+ (T1/2 = 838 ms). new analysis method realized, which, only 12C+ references, the excess of 8Li was accurately determined to be 20947.6(15)(34) keV (dm/m 6.6 x 10-7). The speed, precision and accuracy this measurement exemplifies potential for type spectrograph measurements short-lived nuclei.

The atomic masses of ^{55}Sc, ^{56,58}Ti, and ^{56-59}V have been determined using the high-precision multireflection time-of-flight technique. radioisotopes produced at RIKEN's Radioactive Isotope Beam Factory (RIBF) delivered to novel designed gas cell system, which has recently commissioned downstream ZeroDegree spectrometer following BigRIPS separator. For ^{56,58}Ti ^{56-59}V, mass uncertainties reduced down order 10 keV, shedding new light on N=34 shell effect in Ti V isotopes by first...

The beta-decay Q(EC) values of the superallowed beta emitters 26Alm, 42Sc, and 46V have been measured with a Penning trap to relative precision better than 8 x 10(-9). Our result for 46V, 7052.72(31) keV, confirms recent measurement that differed from previously accepted reaction-based value. However, our results 26Alm 4232.83(13) keV 6426.13(21) are consistent previous values. Be ions produced projectile fragmentation 13C at approximately 1 GeV were thermalized a ion guide gas cell and subsequently laser cooled to microeV. This 10(15)-fold reduction kinetic energy allows precision these ions. A magnetic hfs constant A=-742.772 28(43) MHz was for 7Be+, from which nuclear moment mu(I)=-1.399 28(2)mu(N) deduced.
