The phenolic acid and flavonoid contents of Malaysian Tualang, Gelam, Borneo tropical honeys were compared to those Manuka honey. Ferric reducing/antioxidant power assay (FRAP) the 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl-hydrazyl (DPPH) radical-scavenging activities also quantified. All honey extracts exhibited high (15.21 ± 0.51- 42.23 0.64 mg/kg), (11.52 0.27- 25.31 0.37 FRAP values (892.15 4.97- 363.38 10.57 μM Fe[II]/kg), IC₅₀ DPPH (5.24 0.40- 17.51 0.51 mg/mL). Total 6 acids (gallic, syringic, benzoic,...

Abstract Background There is no available information on physicochemical and antioxidant properties Bangladeshi honey. We investigated five different monofloral three multifloral honey samples collected from parts of Bangladesh. Methods The levels phenolics, flavonoids, ascorbic acid, acid equivalent content (AEAC), proline, protein antioxidants were determined in the using ferric reducing power (FRAP) 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) assays. Results highest level phenolic was 688.5 ±...

Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is the most common and lethal primary malignant brain tumor in adults. Despite multimodal standard treatments for GBM, median survival still about one year. Analysis of tissues from GBM patients shows that lipid droplets are highly enriched while undetectable normal tissues, yet identity functions species not well understood. The aims present work to determine how utilizes fatty acids, assess their roles proliferation. Treatment U138 cells with a monounsaturated...
