We have investigated the effect of oleic acid concentration on physicochemical properties solvothermally derived cobalt ferrite nanoparticles (CFO NPs). Without acid, agglomerated nanoplatelets with a crystallite size about 19 nm were obtained, according to X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). However, addition decreases CFO NPs at critical concentration, which was determined be 0.25 M, well-dispersed, nonagglomerated spherical particles 6 obtained. A further...

Abstract Taking advantage of the flexibility apatite structure, nano- and micro-particles hydroxyapatite (HAp) were doped with different combinations rare earth ions (RE 3+ = Gd, Eu, Yb, Tm) to achieve a synergy among their magnetic optical properties enable application in preventive medicine, particularly diagnostics based on multimodal imaging. All powders synthesized through hydrothermal processing at T ≤ 200 °C. An X-ray powder diffraction analysis showed that all crystallized P 6 3 / m...

The effects of CoFe2O4 nanoparticles on the properties an electro-optical liquid crystal cell based nematic composition 4-Cyano-4′-pentylbiphenyl (5CB) under influence different forms bias voltage were studied. Detailed results established for application sinusoidal voltages with various frequencies and amplitudes. At input signal, a frequency 500 kHz, resonant current increase was obtained in electrical circuit, followed by decrease frequency. This indicates formation consistent oscillatory...

Abstract The fluid flow pattern and solids circulation rate in a liquid phase spout‐fluid bed with draft tube were studied semi‐circular column 196 mm diameter equipped 34.5 using water spherical glass particles 1.20, 1.94 2.98 diameter. Both the distribution between annulus are influenced by location of tube, relative magnitude inlet spouting flowrates, total flowrate entering bed. A one‐dimensional steady state model vertical non‐accelerating liquid‐solids predicts mass flux mean deviation...

The combination of plasmonic material and magnetic metal oxide nanoparticles is widely used in multifunctional nanosystems. Here we propose a method for the fabrication gold/cobalt ferrite nanocomposite biomedical applications. composite includes gold cores ~10 nm diameter coated with arginine, which are surrounded by small cobalt diameters ~5 covered dihydrocaffeic acid. structure elemental composition, morphology dimensions, optical properties, biocompatibility new were studied. properties...

In the present work cobalt ferrite nanospheres (CFO NS) were prepared via one-step, templatefree solvothermal method and used as a magnetic adsorbent of chromium(VI) ions. The synthesized materials characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission (TEM) vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM). XRD results confirmed cubic spinel structure CFO NS while SEM revealed sphere-like morphology with diameters in range 100-300 nm. TEM images showed that each...
