A novel amphiphilic Pt complex containing 2,6-bis(1-octadecylbenzimidazol-2-yl)pyridine (L18), [Pt(L18)Cl](PF6), has been synthesized. The exhibits concentration-dependent absorption and emission spectra in solution. With increasing the concentration of complex, we observed a new band centered at 550 nm derived from metal-metal d sigma* to ligand pi* charge transfer (MMLCT) transition corresponding broad 650 nm. is surface-active, surface pressure-area isotherm reveals three phase...
In this document, the technical details of JSNS$^2$ (J-PARC Sterile Neutrino Search at J-PARC Spallation Neutron Source) experiment are described. The search for sterile neutrinos is currently one hottest topics in neutrino physics. aims to existence oscillations with $\Delta m^2$ near 1 eV$^2$ Materials and Life Science Experimental Facility (MLF). A MW beam 3 GeV protons incident on a spallation neutron target produces an intense from muon decay rest. Neutrinos come predominantly $\mu^+$...
The self-assembly and electrochemical properties of a novel Ru(bimpyH2) complex functionalized by disulfide on polycrystalline gold electrode (bimpyH2 = bis(benzimidazol-2-yl)pyridine) were characterized means MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry, XPS, cyclic voltammetry. Ru monolayers exhibit quasi-reversible Ru(III/II) oxidation at +0.66 V vs SCE in 0.1 M HClO4 aqueous solution. shape the voltammograms for couple is strongly dependent surface coverage, close to ideal voltammogram when neat are...

In acidic aqueous solution, a cobalt(III) complex containing monodentate N(9)-bound adeninate (ade-), cis-[Co(ade-κN9)Cl(en)2]Cl (cis-[1]Cl), underwent protonation to the moiety without geometrical isomerization or decomposition of CoIII coordination sphere, and complexes cis-[CoCl(Hade)(en)2]Cl2 (cis-[2]Cl2) cis-[Co(H2ade)Cl(en)2]Cl3 (cis-[3]Cl3) could be isolated. The pKa values Hade H2ade+ are 6.03(1) 2.53(12), respectively, at 20 °C in 0.1 M NaCl. single-crystal X-ray analyses...

Laser photophoretic behavior of an organic droplet in oil water (o/w) emulsions was examined by radiating a single-mode Nd:YAG laser (1064 nm). In the nine emulsion systems examined, velocity (μm s-1) found to be linearly proportional both power and radius droplet. Furthermore, for droplets same size, mobility s-1 W-1), which means normalized with power, increased as refractive index increased. The dependence discussed on basis simple radiation theory scattering force beam spherical formulated.
Interfacial ion-association adsorption and aggregation of a water-soluble porphyrin, tetrakis(4-sulfonatephenyl)porphyrin (TPPS) diacid, which was promoted by cationic cetyltrimethylammonium ion (CTA(+)), studied second harmonic generation (SHG) spectroscopy. Comparing the interfacial SH spectrum with transmission absorption TPPS in aqueous solution elucidated behavior at heptane/water interface. The time-dependent SHG spectra for tension lowering presence CTA(+) were discussed on basis an...
J-aggregation of an achiral hydrophobic porphyrin, 5,10,15,20-tetraphenylporphyrin (H2TPP), at a toluene–4 M sulfuric acid interface was studied by centrifugal liquid membrane–circular dichroism (CLM-CD) method. It found for the first time that exciton chirality sign interfacial J-aggregate H4TPP2+ affected rotational direction cylindrical CLM cell: negative clockwise (CW) rotation and positive anticlockwise (ACW) rotation. The measured optical also depended on injection position H2TPP stock...

When the water-in-oil (w/o) microemulsion droplets including Co(III)-pyridylazo complex as photo-absorber were irradiated with a continuous-wave Ar(+) ion laser (514.5 nm), we have observed unexpected phenomenon that photo-absorbing in water repeated expansion and sudden contraction during photophoretic migration. The period of expansion-contraction cycle was inversely proportional to both concentration power independent initial size droplet. mechanism periodic motion droplet investigated by...
The apparent circular dichroism (CD) and the linear (LD) spectra of aggregates achiral zinc(II)-5,10,15,20-tetra(4-pyridyl)-21H,23H-porphine (ZnTPyP), formed at toluene/water interface in a centrifugal liquid membrane (CLM) cell, were investigated by comparison with microscopic CD LD single interfacial aggregate ZnTPyP about 100 μm length, measured microscope−spectropolarimeter. showed two types flat trapezoidal shapes, one had seedlike core an edge (type I) another needlelike II). observed...
The adsorption behavior of Be(II) on CuO nanoparticles dispersed in water was studied as a model for colloid formation radioactive 7Be nuclides the cooling used electromagnets at high-energy proton accelerator facilities. An aqueous solution and commercially available were mixed, quantitatively examined. From detailed analysis data measured function pH, it confirmed that is adsorbed by complex with hydroxyl groups surface (>S-OH) according to following equation: S-OH + Be ⇌ (>S–O) H ( = 2,...
On April 2015, the J-PARC E56 (JSNS2: Sterile Neutrino Search using neutrinos from Spallation Neutron Source) experiment officially obtained stage-1 approval J-PARC. We have since started to perform liquid scintillator R&D for improving energy resolution and fast neutron rejection. Also, we are studying Avalanche Photo-Diodes (SiPM) inside scintillator. In addition work, a background measurement proton beam bunch timing small volume was planned, safety discussions been done. This report...
New convenient spectral analysis of IT band for partially oxidized species was developed by using the combination digital simulation a reversible CV curve and an electrochemical titration with flow-through electrolysis. This method can be applicable not only dinuclear Ru complexes but also dendritic tetranuclear complexes.
