The aim of this study was to assess the cut-off age risk factors for postoperative recurrence ovarian endometriomas and evaluate end-points follow-up after laparoscopic excision endometriomas. We retrospectively reviewed 167 patients who underwent at our hospital between 2000 2009, followed up until 2010. Following surgery, chose receive gonadotrophin-releasing hormone agonist, oral contraceptive pills (OCP), dienogest, or no medication regular ultrasonographic examinations. Potential...
Abstract Aim Maternal vitamin K (VK) deficiency can lead to fetal complications such as cerebral hemorrhage and bone malformations. In this study, we aimed analyze changes in prothrombin time (PT) protein induced by VK absence or antagonist II (PIVKA‐II) patients with severe hyperemesis gravidarum suspected deficiency. Methods We compared 151 treated intravenous nutrition 46 undergoing cervical suturing benign ovarian tumor surgery before mid‐pregnancy. Results the group, coagulation...
Background In Japan, the lateral position method is known as a postural therapy for breech presentation wherein mother lies down in according to orientation of fetal back. Few studies have formally tested management presentation, and no exists prevent recurrence after cephalic version. We hypothesized that comprising combination opposite-side same-side version demonstrates clinically relevant effect size on presentation. Methods findings conducted stratified, open-label randomized controlled...
Heparin and aspirin (HA) therapy is used for antiphospholipid syndrome (APS)-associated recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL). Low-dose (LDA) recommended thrombophilic predispositions, such as antibodies that do not completely meet the Sydney classification criteria APS, protein S deficiency, factor XII deficiency increased platelet aggregation. However, no established strategy exists cases where LDA ineffective. Therefore, this study aimed to identify characteristics of RPL unresponsive determine...
Objective: To determine the effects of relugolix administration for uterine adenomyosis on volume and subjective symptoms. Methods: This retrospective observational study included 30 patients with clinical symptoms endometriosis complicated who were treated 40 mg/day orally >16 weeks. The was calculated pre- post-administration, percentage post-administration. Furthermore, presence or absence post-administration adverse also examined. Results: median (interquartile range) long diameter,...
We examined vaginal deliveries of twins to identify factors most strongly associated with the increased risk postpartum hemorrhage (estimated blood loss > or = 1,000 mL). reviewed obstetric records all 171 twin at Japanese Red Cross Katsushika Maternity Hospital from January 2002 through August 2006. Of these deliveries, 41 (24%) were complicated by postopartum hemorrhage. Postpartum was significantly more likely in cases gestational age 39 weeks (odds ratio [OR], 3.47; 95% confidence...
Uterine incarceration is a serious complication of pregnancy, in which the gravid uterus becomes trapped posterior pelvis. When labor occurs, delivery does not progress, and may rupture. Therefore, preoperative diagnosis uterine important, caesarian section indispensable except when polarity can be successfully restored. We report case 35-year-old primipara with bicornuate who became pregnant after vitro fertilization embryo transfer. No abnormality was observed on regular checkups until...
Introduction: The purpose of this study was to elucidate the feasibility gasless laparoscopically assisted myomectomy (LAM) using a wound retraction system. This method treats symptomatic uterine myomas by combining laparoscopy with mini-laparotomy enucleate myoma nodules and close myometrium. Methods: includes 275 patients who underwent LAM. For fewer than three nodules, location largest nodule classified as anterior, fundal, or posterior. operative outcomes, intraoperative postoperative...
Miscarriage occurs in 10-15% of pregnancies and recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL) 1% couples hoping for a child. Various risk factors, such as thrombophilia, uterine malformation, embryonic chromosomal aberration cause RPL. We hypothesized that antithrombotic therapy RPL patients with thrombophilia would reduce miscarriage due to which the total miscarriages result relative increase aberrations. In this study, we investigated incidence aberrations products conception without therapy.We...
The fetal sample used for embryonic chromosome analysis is often contaminated with maternal cells, making it difficult to evaluate the chromosomes. We examined on rate of cell contamination and its relationship information in missed abortions using Giemsabanding method.Chromosome was performed 200 cases delayed miscarriages first trimester between July 1, 2000 May 31, 2019. Chorionic villi were collected analyzed Giemsa banding method. Among 20 cells which chromosomal examination performed,...
The effectiveness of progesterone (P4) treatment for preventing preterm births is unclear. Its effects on the uterine cervix were tested using cultured human cervical fibroblasts (UCFs). UCFs incubated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS) in presence or absence P4 under various conditions. mRNA was subjected to PCR arrays and real-time RT-PCR assess IL-6, IL-8, IL-1beta, PTGS2, MMP-1, CXCL10 expression. When exposed a high-LPS concentration (2.0 μg/mL), expression these genes not suppressed by...
Preeclampsia has been classified into two types on the basis of T helper (Th)1/Th2 balance: Th1-predominant type and Th2 predominant type. In this study, we examined Th1/Th2 ratio in peripheral Th cells 11 patients with preeclamptic twin pregnancies, normal (nonpreeclamptic) singleton pregnancies. The average pregnancy was 8.3 ± 3.4 (mean SD), which similar to those pregnancies significant lower than that (p = 0.003). present results suggest mechanisms preeclampsia differ between
Granulysin is a cytotoxic protein that simultaneously activates innate and cellular immunity. The authors aimed to evaluate whether granulysin associated with the antiphospholipid antibody syndrome heparin changes levels.A cohort study was performed women antibody-positive recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL). examined levels under RPL evaluated in serum before 1 week after commencement of treatment.Serum treatment were significantly higher who tested positive for one or more types antibodies...
We present a case of pregnancy complicated by sacroiliitis. The patient complained lumbar pain, dysbasia, and fever 37.8°C at 14 weeks' gestation. Sacroiliitis was diagnosed on the basis magnetic resonance imaging. Treatment included bed rest, antibiotics, analgesic medications. Complete recovery required 2 months.
