Gaze-stabilization exercise (GSE) is often conducted in vestibular rehabilitation, but its effect on function postural control not clear. We investigated whether GSE affects during static upright standing and vestibulospinal reflex (VSR) healthy young adults. First, the center of pressure total trajectory length (CoP-L) was measured before each task or (only standing) (pre), immediately after (post), 10 min (post10) position foam rubber with eyes open closed (EC). Second, H-reflex soleus...

Previously, we reported that cerebellar transcranial magnetic stimulation (C-TMS) facilitates spinal motoneuronal excitability in resting humans. In this study, aimed to characterize the descending pathway is responsible for C-TMS-associated facilitation. We evaluated effect of C-TMS on ipsilateral soleus Ia presynaptic inhibition (PSI) and reciprocal (RI) because vestibulospinal reticulospinal tracts project from cerebellum mediate motoneurons via interneurons associated with PSI. PSI RI...

We investigated whether cerebellar transcranial magnetic stimulation (C-TMS) facilitates the excitability of ipsilateral soleus motoneuron pool in resting humans, and facilitation is modulated by a task that promotes activity. A test tibial nerve stimulus evoking H-reflex from right muscle was delivered before or after conditioning C-TMS prone individuals. The amplitude significantly increased at conditioning-test interstimulus intervals 110, 120, 130 ms. Furthermore, we revealed this effect...

Clostridium difficile is an important cause of acute enterocolitis in horses. We describe five cases C infection occurring postoperatively Thoroughbred racehorses. Following diarrhoea or colic accompanied by a marked increase packed cell volume (to ≥60 per cent) and leucopenia (≤4000 cells/μl) within two to four days after surgery all horses, them died were euthanased because colitis severe diarrhoea. In these necrotising entero‐typhlo‐colitis was revealed postmortem examination, recovered...

Objective: This study aimed to investigate whether galvanic vestibular stimulation with stochastic noise (nGVS) modulates the body sway and muscle activity of lower limbs, depending on visual somatosensory information from foot using rubber-foam. Methods: Seventeen healthy young adults participated in study. Each subject maintained an upright standing position a force plate with/without rubber-foam, their eyes open/closed, measure center pressure. Thirty minutes after baseline measurements...

Autoimmune diseases, especially autoimmune thyroid disease, frequently develop after delivery due to the immune rebound mechanism. Most cases involve transient dysfunction of affected organs. Weexamined three patients who developed liver delivery. They were all diagnosed with definite or probable hepatitis using scoring system International Hepatitis Group. Moreover, them had anti‐CYP2D6 antibodies detected by a sensitive radioligand assay. Our findings strongly suggest that is induced...

Noisy galvanic vestibular stimulation (nGVS) is often used to improve postural stability in disorders, such as neurorehabilitation montage. For the safe use of nGVS, we investigated whether arterial pressure (AP) and heart rate vary during static supine slow whole-body tilt with random nGVS (0.4 mA, 0.1-640 Hz, gaussian distribution) a healthy elderly population. This study was conducted double-blind, sham-controlled, cross-over design. Seventeen older adults were recruited. They asked...
