In CheckMate 204, nivolumab + ipilimumab showed high intracranial (IC) objective response rates (icORRs) in patients with melanoma brain metastases (MBMs). Using icORR as a surrogate for overall survival (OS) has prompted use of alternate criteria. To set the stage harmonized MBM trials, aim this exploratory analysis was to determine using several criteria and examine correlations survival.

Cerebral amyloid angiopathy-related inflammation (CAA-ri) is an immune-mediated disorder of the central nervous system characterized by inflammatory response to amyloid-beta (Aβ) deposition within cerebral blood vessel walls. Immunosuppressive therapy mainstay treatment. We present a case CAA-ri in subject already on immunosuppressive after orthotopic heart transplantation (OHT). A 57-year-old man eight months post-OHT for sarcoid cardiomyopathy developed headaches and staring spells while...

Endolymphatic sac tumors (ELSTs) are rare, locally invasive, vascular of the temporal bone. These lesions associated with von Hippel-Lindau syndrome but may arise sporadically. Early surgical intervention is recommended to prevent permanent neurologic deficits; however, many ELSTs unresectable or subtotally resected due neurovascular compromise. Chemotherapeutic salvage therapy in trials neoplasms syndromes has targeted angiogenesis variable response. We present case a sporadic ELST,...

2076 Background: Facing limited treatment options, brain tumor patients are often highly motivated to use complementary therapies, including diet, help themselves. There is now an abundance of preclinical evidence suggesting possible benefit with a ketogenic diet (KD) for patients, but clinical still limited. Thus, we conducted single-arm, phase 1 safety and feasibility trial KD among recently diagnosed glioblastoma (GBM) during standard- of-care (SOC) treatment. Methods: Adults GBM within 3...

Methods Electronic medical records from one specialty referral centre were reviewed March 21, 2010, to October 9, 2015, for weighing less than or equal 4 kg that had one-third fracture adaption LC-DCP. Advancements wearable technologies have allowed for the opportunity to obtain objective measures of sleep quality outside laboratory setting. Thus, we conducted secondary analysis remotely monitored data from phase 1 study newly GBM following classic ketogenic diet (KD) addition standard-of-care treatment. Methods:...

Abstract INTRODUCTION There is abundant interest in the potential therapeutic and supportive role of a ketogenic diet (KD) for glioblastoma patients. We conducted single-arm phase 1 trial to assess safety feasibility KD plus standard-of-care (SOC) patients (NCT03451799). METHODS Adults within 3 months diagnosis participated 16-week intervention classic 3:1 (grams fat : grams carbohydrate + protein) with dietitian support. Blood glucose ketone levels were assessed twice daily (Keto-Mojo),...

Abstract BACKGROUND Glioblastoma (GBM) is the most common malignant primary nervous system tumor and remains incurable with a poor prognosis despite current therapy. The standard for monitoring response to treatment, as defined by Response Assessment in Neuro-Oncology (RANO) criteria, relies on bidimensional (2D) measurement product of T1-gadolinium enhancing disease. However, due variability characterization, there considerable interest volumetric segmentation assess burden, which could be...
