Abstract Typical and atypical antipsychotic drugs, though both effective, act on different neurotransmitter receptors are dissimilar in some clinical effects side effects. The typical drug haloperidol has been shown to cause a decrease the expression of brain‐derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), which plays an important role neuronal cell survival, differentiation, connectivity. However, it is still unknown whether drugs similarly regulate BDNF expression. We examined chronic (28 days)...

Exosomes (EXO) derived from dendritic cells (DC), which express major histocompatibility complex (MHC) and costimulatory molecules, have been used for antitumour vaccines. However, they are still less effective by showing only prophylatic immunity in animal models or very limited immune responses clinical trials. In this study, we showed that ovalbumin (OVA) protein-pulsed DC (DC(OVA))-derived EXO (EXO(OVA)) displayed MHC class I-OVA I peptide (pMHC I) complexes, CD11c, CD40, CD80, CCR7,...

Exosomes (EXO) derived from tumour cells have been used to stimulate antitumour immune responses, but only resulting in prophylatic immunity. Tumour-derived heat shock protein 70 (HSP70) molecules are molecular chaperones with a broad repertoire of antigen peptides capable stimulating dendritic cell (DC) maturation and T-cell responses. To enhance EXO-based immunity, we generated an engineered myeloma line J558(HSP) expressing endogenous P1A transgenic form membrane-bound HSP70 heat-shocked...

Abstract Neuroanatomical studies suggest that neuronal atrophy and destruction occur over the course of many years in neurodegenerative conditions such as schizophrenia Alzheimer's disease. In schizophrenia, early intervention with atypical neuroleptics olanzapine has been shown to prevent development some more serious debilitating symptoms patients. The mechanisms whereby slows or prevents symptom progression remain unclear. A previous study found increased mRNA for copper/zinc isoform...

Abstract The traditional chemotherapy, including Adriamycin (Doxorubicin, DOX), is widely used and part of the first-line chemotherapy invasive B cell lymphoma. DOX nonselective cytotoxic drug has many adverse effects, which limit its clinical application in combination with other anti-cancer drugs. Optimization delivery system targeting tumor microenvironment could be a feasible approach that may have significant significance. Further, anticancer drugs, such as curcumin, can enhance...

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) has been increasingly recognized in nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) patients. Fibroblast growth factor 21 (FGF21) is reported to prevent NASH and delay HCC development. In this study, the effects of FGF21 on progression NASH-HCC transition potential mechanism(s) were investigated.

Abstract Atypical antipsychotic drugs are widely used in the treatment of schizophrenia, and clinical evidence has shown that early prolonged intervention with these will improve long‐term outcome. It is still unclear, however, whether atypical also neuroprotective. To clarify this matter, we PC12 cell cultures MTT assay for viability to determine various concentrations antipsychotics clozapine, quetiapine, risperidone neuroprotective after serum withdrawal. In addition, explore drugs'...

Objectives In this study, the etiology, clinical characteristics, and prognosis of multiple primary malignant tumors (MPMTs) were investigated. Furthermore, we analyzed treatment factors associated with MPMTs. Methods From 15,398 patients presenting to The First Hospital Jilin University, China, between January 2010 December 2013, identified Data obtained retrospectively from hospital database. Results prevalence MPMTs in study was 0.99% (152/15398): 51 cases synchronous MPMTs, 101...

Between January 1, 2012, and June 30, 2017, 553 consecutive de novo AML were screened for mutations. Out these, 81 classified as CEBPAdm analyzed further by a sensitive next-generation sequencing assay 112 candidate genes.
