Organic semiconductors with high-spin ground states are fascinating because they could enable fundamental understanding on the spin-related phenomenon in light element and provide opportunities for organic magnetic quantum materials. Although have been observed some quinoidal type small molecules or doped semiconductors, semiconducting polymers at their neutral state rarely reported. Here we report three high-mobility different spin states. We show that polymer building blocks...

The facile pyrolysis of a bipyridyl metal-organic framework, MOF-253, produces N-doped porous carbons (Cz-MOF-253), which exhibit excellent catalytic activity in the Knoevenagel condensation reaction and outperform other nitrogen-containing MOF-derived carbons. More importantly, by virtue their high Lewis basicity nature, Cz-MOF-253-supported Pd nanoparticles (Pd/Cz-MOF-253-800) show performance one-pot sequential condensation-hydrogenation reaction.
