We report electron transport studies of a thin InAs-Al hybrid semiconductor-superconductor nanowire device using four-terminal design. Compared to previous works, thinner InAs (diameter less than 40 nm) is expected reach fewer sub-band regime. The design excludes electrode contact resistance, an unknown value which has inevitably affected previously reported conductance. Using tunneling spectroscopy, we find large zero-bias peaks (ZBPs) in differential conductance on the order $2e^2/h$....

Probing an isolated Majorana zero mode is predicted to reveal a tunneling conductance quantized at $2e^2/h$ temperature. Experimentally, zero-bias peak (ZBP) expected and its height should remain robust against relevant parameter tuning, forming plateau. Here, we report the observation of large ZBPs in thin InAs-Al hybrid nanowire device. The ZBP can stick close $2e^2/h$, mostly within $5\%$ tolerance, by sweeping gate voltages magnetic field. We further map out phase diagram identify two...

In this paper, we consider the following system ofpseudo-differential nonlinear equations in $R^n$\begin{equation}\left\{\begin{array}{ll}(-\Delta)^{\alpha/2} u_i (x)= f_i( u_1(x), \cdots u_m(x)), & i=1, \cdots, m, \\u_i \geq 0 , &nbsp (1)\end{array}\right.\label{b1}\end{equation}where $\alpha$ is any real number between $0$ and $2$. We obtain radial symmetry critical case non-existencein subcritical for positive solutions. To end, first establish equivalence (1)and corresponding integral...

Hybrid semiconductor-superconductor InAs-Al nanowires with uniform and defect-free crystal interfaces are one of the most promising candidates used in quest for Majorana zero modes (MZMs). However, InAs often exhibit a high density randomly distributed twin defects stacking faults, which result an uncontrolled non-uniform interface. Furthermore, this type disorder can create potential inhomogeneity wire, destroy topological gap, form trivial sub-gap states mimicking MZM transport...

As an environmental friendly insulating medium, C4F7N has received extensive attention in the past two years. In this study, partial discharge (PD) and breakdown characteristics of C4F7N/CO2 gas mixture were investigated using insulation performance test platform. The influence pressure mixing ratio on PD initial voltage (PDIV) different electric fields was tested. It found that PDIV with 2–8% highly non-uniform field showed a linear saturation increasing trend change ratio. increases...

Hybrid semiconductor-superconductor nanowires are predicted to host Majorana zero modes that induce zero-bias peaks (ZBPs) in tunneling conductance. ZBPs alone, however, not sufficient evidence due the ubiquitous presence of Andreev bound states. Here, we implement a strongly resistive normal lead InAs-Al nanowire devices and show most expected state-induced can be suppressed, phenomenon known as environmental Coulomb blockade. Our result is first experimental demonstration this dissipative...

Abstract The detection of trace impurity gases in fluorinated gas (F‐gas) that are widely used the industry offers a significant avenue for equipment status monitoring and mitigating unnecessary emissions. However, formidable electron affinity (EA) adsorption propensity F‐gas molecules render identification impurities within high‐concentration atmosphere exceptionally challenging. Herein, filtration‐sensing strategy is proposed to realize highly sensitive selective Room Temperature (RT)...
