In daily life, exposure generally linked social clock. When solar misaligned with clock, desynchronization occurs between internal circadian rhythm yearly change time introduces this misalignment,...
Early evidence with transvenous phrenic nerve stimulation (PNS) demonstrates improved disease severity and quality of life (QOL) in patients central sleep apnea (CSA). The goal this analysis is to evaluate the complete prospective experience PNS order better characterize its efficacy safety, including concomitant heart failure (HF).
Introduction Obstructive sleep apnea is diagnosed by identifying obstructive apneas and hypopneas, but no study has shown that it necessary to distinguish these events from each other. Our goal was analyze results polysomnograms determine if adverse health outcomes were more likely in patients with higher indices relative their hypopnea indices. hypothesis scoring separately hypopneas predictive value. Methods A retrospective case series performed for consecutive diagnostic split-night...
To examine the emotional and behavioral characteristics of offspring depressed parents with without anger attacks.Forty-three who met criteria for major depressive disorder (MDD) completed Achenbach Child Behavior Checklist - Parent Report Version (CBCL) each their birth children (n = 58, age range 6-17 years). We discuss the use of levothyroxine for excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS) and prolonged nocturnal sleep time in a euthyroid patient with narcolepsy. After failure first-line narcolepsy treatments, 48-year-old female began (25 mcg/day). After 12 weeks treatment, was evaluated improvement total subjective assessed by Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS).At baseline, ESS score 16 averaged h/day. weeks, 13 reported h/day.Levothyroxine improved EDS without cataplexy after side effects.
The primary objective of this study is to determine how the phases menstrual cycle influence results polysomnography (PSG). Twenty-eight adult subjects who reported regular periods, last period (LMP) within 26 days their PSG, no exogenous hormone use, history polycystic ovarian syndrome, and were scheduled for diagnostic PSG at Boston Medical satisfied inclusion criteria study. These divided into a Follicular Cohort (days 0-13 cycle) or Luteal 14-26 cycle), one-way analysis using t-test was...
This quality improvement (QI) project aimed to evaluate the process and outcomes of utilizing STOP-BANG questionnaire (SBQ) screen patients for sleep apnea in a pre-operative clinic.
