The wake of a circular cylinder is investigated near the oscillation threshold by means laser probe. Above transient regime studied and described Stuart-Landau law (already found to be relevant in explaining free-oscillating regimes). Below critical point, impulse resonant regimes are examined, so coefficients equation determined. Moreover, supercritical regime, behaviour (externally forced) oscillating system described, varying parameters such as deviation, forcing frequency amplitude....

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) allows accurate assessment of Crohn's disease (CD), but requires gadolinium injection. Diffusion-weighted (DW)-MRI yields comparable performances in small bowel CD. We compared the accuracy DW-MR enterocolonography (MREC) and magnetic index activity (MaRIA), performed an external validation Clermont score assessing inflammation CD.This was observational prospective study a single-center cohort. A total 130 CD patients underwent consecutively MREC with...

We report the first light-scattering study of a critical mixture (aniline-cyclohexane) under shear flow $S$ which affects fluctuations with relaxation time $\ensuremath{\tau}$ only in region $S\ensuremath{\tau}>1$. All anomalies can be expressed as function $S\ensuremath{\tau}$ and interpreted by lowering temperature $\ensuremath{\Delta}{T}_{0}(S)={T}_{1}{S}^{\frac{1}{3\ensuremath{\nu}}}$, where ${T}_{1}$ is constant. In addition scattered light found to exhibit noticeable anisotropy respect...

Fibromuscular dysplasia (FMD) commonly affects the renal and cervical arteries but has been described to affect other vascular beds as well. The prevalence of clinical characteristics associated with multisite FMD (string-of-beds or focal stenoses affecting at least 2 beds) are not known. In prospective ARCADIA registry (Assessment Renal Cervical Artery Dysplasia), symptomatic patients artery (RA) underwent tomographic- magnetic resonance-angiography from aortic arch intracranial those...

Chronic mesenteric ischaemia is a severe and incapacitating disease, causing complaints of post-prandial pain, fear eating weight loss. Even though chronic may progress to acute ischaemia, remains an underappreciated undertreated disease entity. Probable explanations are the lack knowledge awareness among physicians gold standard diagnostic test. The underappreciation this results in delays, underdiagnosis undertreating patients with potentially resulting fatal ischaemia. This guideline...

Chronic mesenteric ischemia (CMI) is rare and often diagnosed late. Fatal malabsorption-related complications or acute ischemic events occur in the absence of treatment. Diagnosis depends on careful acquisition a medical history elimination other conditions. No sensitive specific tests are available for functional diagnosis CMI.
